My name, to you guys, is Iris Lazuli. My penname is Aislingeach, which means 'dreamer' or 'visionary' in Irish Gaelic.
I have been described by friends as both “not a typical blonde” and “The Happy Emo Girl.” I personally like to describe myself as creatively insane. I get good grades in school, but I only like going to school because I get to see my friends. I have four very close friends with whom I appear even more insane. Especially when me and Nixy get talking about which of our characters are going to die or not—in public.
My favorite hobbies are reading and writing. I read very quickly, so I tend to read a lot of stuff. My favorite genres are fantasy and classics. Some of my favorite authors are Mercedes Lackey, Robert Jordan, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Tamora Pierce. Some of my favorite individual books are Jane Eyre, Ivanhoe, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Color of Magic, and Deerskin. I also like reading manga. Some of my favorite series are Fullmetal Alchemist, D. Gray-man, Fruits Basket, Chrono Crusade, D.N. Angel, and Loveless.
On the subject of my writing: I tend to write fantasy as well as read it. I also like writing romance. Unfortunately, I’m really bad at actually writing down all the ideas I get, so I have a sadly low number of finished stuff. And I don’t post stuff unless it’s finished. But hopefully, I should start writing stuff down soon, and have more stuff up. I hope you enjoy the stuff I do have up!
