Hello! And welcome to Mayleena's (Emily's) profile!
Gender: Female
Age: High School
General Looks: Brunette, blue eyes, a nice sprinkling of freckles, fair skin
Home: US but I want to go to England to study--haven't found the ideal college yet (I don't know what I'm going to be...) but soon...soon...
Family: They are what they are...
Friends: Yeah, most of them don't give a crap what I do, but that's fine with me...It's preferable to being all nosy and crap...
Music: I truly believe that without music, I would cease to exist. Music shuts out all the junk in the world and channels the worthwhile parts into wonderful songs. Everyone has their different views on music, too, and that's amazing that something so "simple" can pertain to people so diverse. Every time I walk into a music store I am awed.
Sports: I'm a runner--sort of...I'm not as dedicated as I'd like to be, but oh well...I also love to figure skate...something about falling and accidentally beating the crap out of your body attracts me...just kidding...
I absolutely hate it when doors are open, and people are in the next room. A ball of lead forms in my stomach and I get really paranoid.
People walking right behind me in hallways, or me being stuck in the middle of a large group, or sitting to close to someone, friend or stranger, I get really uncomfortable and it feels like the world is caving in.
Across the Universe is officially my favorite movie. I watched it last night with my friends (even though some of them didn't give a crap and were really annoying) and really enjoyed it...they didn't crap up the Beatles' wonderful songs.
I love all forms of music. Except country. Country is like the F-word in my vocabulary. Very, very bad.
Recommended Works by Me: (Also check out the ones on my Favorites list!)
The Truth--My first real, finished story
Untitled Paranormal--Current obsession that I've been working on
And if, by chance, you are looking for very short stories (about 2000 words or less), check these out:
My Home is a Boxcar--Sounds stupid, but I wrote it for History. It sounded okay to me so I posted it here
Life in the Trenches--Again, I wrote this for a History project. I like this one.
Ready? Fly Now--It's a bit longer than 2000 words but I've been told that it's "uplifting". It got 3rd in a contest over the summer.
That Day, That End--Something I wrote after a History class. I was inspired by what we learned and this popped out.
A Collection of Hilarious Short Stories--I can never find time to type them all up so this'll be a little slow.
