I can't really say I know what I am doing, but I am trying to learn how to write. If I get all muddled and start talking about things that nobody understands, please tell me. If my grammar is reminiscent of finger nails on slate, I will not be offended if you point it out. I do not think anything I write is final. I will listen to you. I have no writer's ego, because when it comes down to it, I'm just an engineer. ~jlr
Just as a side note. Please people, if you are not from New York City or if you are not prepared to do a great deal of research please do not write about it. Make up a city. I am really tired of the perceptions people have of my home being so outrageously misrepresented. Here is a basic guideline. If you cannot answer some of these questions reconsider your choice of story locations. What are the five boroughs? How are the streets in Manhattan organized? What sports teams play at Madison Square Garden? What are five shows currently on Broadway? Please note. I am not a mean person. I think that it hurts stories when they are set in places the author knows very little about. Thank you. ~jlr
