I am a recent graduate of a private university in Virginia, but I live and teach in DC. I am 22, and I absolutely love each day that I spend teaching and learning from the little ones where I work.
I am mainly here for the purpose of reviewing. I LOVE to read, and this site gives me access to reading all the time, even when I do not have the money to purchase books. What can I say, DC is expensive... lol. Check out my favorite authors... all of their completed stories have kept me glued to my computer until all hours of the night, even when I have work the next morning or housework that I should be doing. Read them, you will not be disappointed!
Books that I find amazing: Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (the fourth book comes out on August 2!! woot woot!); The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis; and InkHeart and InkSpell by Cornelia Funke.
The simple things in life that I take pleasure in (not in any particular order):
Friends
traveling
summer rain showers
thunderstorms
comedy
the ocean
rainy days: curled up by a fireplace with a book and a steaming cup of cocoa, and my cat at my feet
snowball fights
3 am with my best friends
family-owned coffee shops
winter melting into spring (favorite time of the year)
campfires
walking around in my bare feet
music
children (their laughter, the funny things they say, cute little babies, etc.)
books
touring D.C.
trying something new everyday
Friends (the best show ever)
... the list goes on and on... Seriously people, if you do not take the time to enjoy the simple things, then the difficult ones are that much harder to deal with. :-P
