Author has written 5 stories for Life, Fantasy, and Love.

It's been a while since I've updated this. I've been on Fictionpress hiatus for nearly two years, having decided that being tied down to a publishing schedule for my stories wasn't really the best idea - mostly because I never actually updated. I've changed my penname from "Feere Gorone" to "Metropolis Life" for a few reasons. Firstly, "Feere" is no longer who I am - it's been two years since I've identified with that name at all. I'm no longer writing stories with that character. I have reached a new era in my writing, that of "The Cities," stories about a certain family. But I won't go into too much detail, it would spoil what I've got planned.

Well I've self-published by book "VICE: Resurgence"; I'll post the Lulu.com link later if anyone's interested. I think I'll leave what's there of that story here for now, and maybe I'll update it with the rest of what I've written. It amounts to around 150,000 words (maybe a bit less than that, actually, but it's around there) and doesn't really hit its stride until around three quarters the way through. Still, it's a part of my history as a writer, and I intend to honour it, no matter how badly written or misguided it is.

I never really intended to come back to Fictionpress, but here I am. In the coming months I'm going to post the book that I wrote for NaNoWriMo in November of 2010. I surpassed the 50,000 word limit easily, but I never got to finish the story, clocking in at around 85,000 words at the end of November, with more of the story still to tell. So as I post that story, in about 3000 to 5000 word increments, I'll finish it. It's called Shell: The Story of a Foregone Conclusion, although the ending isn't all that apparent, or foregone; it's mostly because I wanted to call something "Foregone Conclusion," and the ending of the story was pretty obvious to me when I had the initial idea well over a year ago.
