Author has written 6 stories for Humor, Thriller, General, Horror, and Romance.

Hey, everybody.

My name is Ethan. I'm 19 years old, and I live in the tiny state of Delaware. I've been writing for a very long time, though I'm just now starting to really develop my writing style. I've realized in the past few months that I thoroughly enjoy writing dark, macabre stories. Whether I apply death in subtle undertones or deep, broad strokes, I feel like it really helps me to write. There's a sort of fascination with the human concept of death that comes through in my writing. Not that I'm obsessed with death or depressed or anything. I'm actually quite a happy person, but there's something about the subject that urges me to explore its depths. Therefore, you'll see death, morbidity, and tragedy portrayed in quite a few of my works. I hope you enjoy.

Below, I'll talk about some of my interests.

Music

I absolutely love music. All kinds. The only music I tend not to like is pop. Unfortunately, these days, way too many artists are turning toward pop. And I don't mean pop in the traditionally accepted sense of the word. Too many artists are focusing on what will catch people's attention and get stuck in their heads, instead of what will make their music artistic and meaningful. The charts have taken over music, and no one seems to care. Therefore, pop is not something I generally enjoy. Most popular music is popular for no reason. I absolutely love folk music, rock, metal, screamo, rap (if it's actual music, and not someone talking to two sound effects and a siren in the background... most rap played on the radio doesn't count), country (kinda the same deal as rap... if it's actual music, and not the regurgitation of a deflowered rendition of something I've heard a million times), bluegrass, classical music, reggae, and just about everything else. I'm also in a band called Save The Bride. Feel free to check us out on MySpace.

Movies

Movies are another passion of mine. I love watching all different kinds of movies. Comedy, action, suspense, horror (most horror movies these days suck, though, because they're not real horror), even the occasional chick flick, though I generally have to be with my girlfriend for that. In addition to watching movies, I'd also like to make some. I've got plans for quite a few different movies, and as I move into production, I'll let you all know so if you're interested, you can check it out.

Books

I'm a sucker for a good book. Some of my favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, Alexandre Dumas, Bram Stoker, and Robert Louis Stevenson, to name a few. I like an intriguing storyline, and lately I've been leaning toward stories of a darker nature. The reason for that, I believe, is illustrated above.

That's pretty much it for the moment. I hope you all enjoy reading my work. Please leave reviews! I enjoy constructive criticism.
