Hmmm...what to write in this vast amount of space? I'm a girl, and I go by Ace. I have many passions in this life, and I believe in living every one of them. _ One of my passions in life is riding and taking care of horses. I have ridden many different horses in my lifetime, but my favorite was a stubborn but lovable pony named Whiskers. He was a school horse at the barn where I used to ride, but unfortunately he was sold recently. I miss him terribly, but that is a fact of life. I plan on trying a new barn sometime soon. Hopefully this new barn will work out better than my last barn did. I may have loved Whiskers, but I hated everything else about that farm.
Reading is another passion of mine. As an old friend once put it, oh so eloquently, I am a 'book whore.' She came to that conclusion when I told her I would do anything for a new book. Yeah, my friends are perverts, but hey, who isn’t these days? I have a wide variety of genres and time periods that I read. I will read novels, short stories, poetry, plays, essays, etc. From medieval to present, I will read it. As I said, I love to read.
I love writing poetry, short stories, and drabbles. I have recently begun to write longer works. I believe that everyone has a story to tell. I love to create universes for my own characters to control and live in. Writing is such an amazing way to express oneself.
One of my favorite activities is drawing. It is a great way to express what I feel. Drawing can be so calming to me, which is a good thing in the hectic life I live. I love being able to give a visuals for words. All of the stories and poetry that I write have some sort of image that goes with it.
I love school, especially English and various art classes. Some consider me a geek, but hey, geeks are cool! Geeks will one day rule the universe! Not in a creepy Revenge of the Nerds kind of way, though. That would be just a bit odd.
I am a member of my school's Color Guard, which is very fun. I'm a guard nerd and damn proud of that! Our Guard is very close, like a family. We all take it personally when one of us gets insulted, so watch out! I love to practice, and I love to make up my own work. It's so much fun! When my final season is over, I plan on auditioning for a Drum Corps. It will depend on where I go to college, though. If I go to college in Boston, then I will audition for the Boston Crusaders. If I go to school in Pennsylvania, then I will audition for the Cadets. If that does not work out, then I will audition for the Guard at whatever college I attend.
As for a career choice, I am thinking about being an editor for a publishing company. I still want to write, and maybe go into that web desgin buisness with my friend. I'm thinking of doing freelance graphic design, which would enable me to set my own work load. That would work great, since I want my "main" job as an editor. I love to read, and I can be a bit of a stickler for grammar, so why not combine the two and do something I love? Plus, I would have an in at the publishing company, so when I decide to publish for myself, I would have a somewhat easier time of it.
"Tabhair dhom do ghrá buan agus ná scaoil mé uaidh ar bith." That is a phrase in Gaelic that I love. If you are at all curious about it, let me know, and I will tell you. (I hope I translated it correctly :D)

I apologize for the lack up updating, but my computer was on sick leave...
I am playing with a couple of different stories, and I will post a chapter as soon as I get back into my writing stride. I was a bit off of my course for a while, due to midterms ans Stage Crew.
Here's some updates on my stories:
Dreams Stained Scarlet- The prologue of DSS is mostly written, as well as the first chapter. I FINALLY have a BETA (Thank you Cookie, you are amazing!), so I should have a chapter or two up soon. As a warning, this will be depressing, especially as the plot expands.
Untitled- This is something new I am working on. I have yet to find something to call it, which irks me. This will be a happy story. I had the urge to write something happy for a change, and so I did.
Fire and Ice- This will be a poem. I have several stanzas written so far.

Unfortunately, the editing process of Dreams Stained Scarlet has slowed down. I have finished the first chapter, but I can't decide if I want to do a prologue or not. Plus, I've been insanely busy with my FBLA project and other school assignments. The first semester is almost over (! Ugh, I think Jan. 17), so I am studying for finals and other crap like that. Our school is weird, we have block scheduling, so I have completely new classes starting Second Semester.
