It was a dark and stormy night...
Well, actually, it was a bright and crisp eight minutes after noon over sixteen years ago when Ryan's epic...ok, not really 'epic'...life began.
My name is Ryan.
I’m a living oxymoron.
I’m a night owl writer.
I love ice cream.
I dislike pencils.
I dip fries in ice cream.
My hair is sunrise red.
My favorite color is silver.
My eyes are the color of dirty lake water. Beautiful, huh?
I wish I had a laptop.
I have spontaneous sugar rushes.
I have an unhealthy obsession with anime.
The Sky is my muse.
I like all kinds of music except for techno and rap.
I doodle. A lot.
But I swear I’m not sane.
I have many voices.
I laugh at everything.
I interact on autopilot.
I have a hard time saying “I’m sorry”.
I live my world instead of yours.
Gore is my guilty pleasure.
Writing is my life.
Words are my blood.
6/25/07 - To, or Not To, Fanfic!
Alright, I've got a question for y'all. I'm not sure how many people are familiar with it, but Deadliest Catch has moved to the top of the list of my favorite shows. I've been daydreaming about it a lot lately and am thinking about making a DC fanfic. The problem is, I googled DC fanfiction, and I got absolutely nothing. I found like, ONE thing on fanfiction.net, but that wasn't even really about the actual fishing. I've got some fun ideas and plans for this fanfiction, all from the perspective from a young but not new female skipper for both crab seasons--how she deals with a cocky greenhorn that gets himself thrown off the side of the boat to comunicating with her falcon pet to help find a ship that's lost its way in a vast field of ice, as well as how the crew and the camera crew go about daily life on the vessel. I've been watching the show every time it's on and researching like crazy. But what I want to know is, will anyone read it? Does anyone know the series well enough to want to read it? Does it sound like a good idea? To start a new breed of fanfiction, or is fanfiction really only acceptable for anime and Harry Potter? I'd probably write it anyways, but I'm debating whether or not to take the time to type it up and put it online. Feel free to message me or email me at wolftamer@writing.com to talking about my ideas, your opinions or just chat about the amazing show that is, Deadliest Catch.
Sig and the Northwestern are my favorite of the series! x3
Hey all, it's almost summer and you can guess what that means! Summer Writing Months, or SuWriMos! I will be participating this year, starting a story I have been wanting to write for some time now. It's current title is Casting Shadows, but that can be subject to change as I get farther into the story. I'm not great with titles, but it needs to have one so that I can post it here. So far I've only got a couple of pages done, and I'm scrambling to get the beginning done so I can jump headfirst into the action. There's only 4 more days before SuWriMos starts, and then it's 3 months of nonstop writing, which, in theory, shouldn't be any different from my normal lifestyle, but we all know how well I stick to the norm. It should be up shortly, as soon as I get the rest of it typed.
Well, have a great memorial day, and know that yours truely will be marching in the parade in either ruthless thunderstorms or blistering 90 degree heat in a wool marching band uniform.
Well, I'm out for the day. See you around!
