Who were the Friends of the ABC? The abaissé (the abased) were the people. They wished to raise them up.
-- Victor Hugo; Les Misérables

I, Friend of the ABC, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.

I have joined the review revolution.

(To join, post the above in your browser. And review all the fics you read.)

An Introduction:
I am a girl nearing fifteen. I am a Christian. I was born in Singapore, which is a tiny island at the end of the Malayan Peninsula, but I've lived overseas so long that I count myself as a citizen of the world. I currently live in Shanghai, China, which is one of the coolest places in the world. I am homeschooled and play the guitar, piano and I sing. I am an Anglophile and bibliophile.

Favourite...:
Books: I Capture the Castle, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Rings, The Jane Austen Bookclub, Pride and Prejudice
Writers: Rosemary Sutcliffe, Tracy Chevalier, J.R.R. Tolkien
Musicals: Les Misérables, Wicked, West Side Story, Singin' in the Rain
Movies: Pride and Prejudice, Paris je t'aime, Lord of the Rings, Schindler's List, To Kill a Mockingbird, Little Miss Sunshine, Beauty and the Beast, Music and Lyrics, Juno, the Jane Austen Book Club, Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day
TV Shows: House M.D., Doctor Who, Torchwood, Pushing Daisies
Music: Hillsong (United, Live, the original...), Coldplay, Tim Hughes, Dido, Ella Fitzgerald, Electric Light Orchestra, Starfield, Brooke Fraser, Handel, The Moldy Peaches, Goo Goo Dolls, various soundtracks...

Things I Write:
My stories are mostly set in pre-WWI or post-WWI England. I like that time period. A lot of radical change in society. I can't really write modern, except for flashbacks (or flash-forwards). But I'll pretty much do any period that inspires me. Dunno. Depends.

Misc.:
Because I live in China and am homeschooled, I have quite a limited amount of resources. Therefore, my stories might come out slightly historically inaccurate. However, I do try to keep them as accurate as possible, and I pray that you'll let me know if I go wrong.
No one taught me grammar or writing, so some of my grammar might be a little wrong. I apologise.
I'm also at Fanfiction, but a lot less than here.

And that's pretty much it, folks...
