Bio (Updated)

Hello, how are you? I hope you're doing good.

It seems you have stumbled upon my lair. My pseudonym is May Elizabeth. I am 20 years old and live in Canada, eh! lol I am also a woman. I have been writing and reading my whole life. My dream is to be a published full-time writer. My writing is on the darker/gothic side, but it has been getting more lighter the more I heal. I have had an interesting but turbulent life. I am a survivor of childhood sex abuse, and amongst other things an abusive relationship when I was 16. My influences include Poe, Plath, and Rice. I do return reviews, and I love constructive criticisims. C'mon I can take it. it will only make me a better writer. I am Wiccan/Pagan, and proud. PAGAN PRIDE! WOOT!

I am generally a happy person. I also consider myself a fairly open-minded and non-judgemental person. My biggest pet peeves are hypocrites and labels. I don't (and never have) fit in comfortably in one label; I am me and you are you. I do have gothic and tomboyish qualities to me, but there is more to me than that. I have slowly embraced my feminity. I am quiet but I can be outspoken. I am a wallflower but I can be bold and stand out. I am calm but I can be fiery and fiesty. I am chill but I can be driven. I am independent but I do rely on others. I am insane yet I am stable. I am weird but I am normal.

This is me. In a nutshell. Don't judge me before you know me. Or even better not at all. Who knows? You just might like me, and we just might get along. So pull up a chair, and read a few of my writings. You just might like what you read. You'll never know until you do.

All of my poems are open for interpretation, because I believe that a poem's meaning is different for each person based on their life experiences, and etc. I'm always curious to hear how people interpret my poems. My poetry style is raw but refined. My poems are emotional (not EMO), but they're personal thoughts, memories, experiences, and all that jazz. Though some of my writing is inspired but not necessarily about me per se. Poetry, to me, is about personal expression and writing from your heart and doesn't need rules. I write alot of freeverse, and I don't intentionally rhyme but sometimes it sneaks in for a stanza or so. I have my own style, but that in itself is always changing. Lately I've been trying more traditional styles of poetry like haiku, sonnet, and rhyming. I've also been branching out to writing one-shots and short stories and eventually into novellas and novels. Even though a lot of my older stuff is dark and angst-filled, I am slowly moving onto more uplifting pieces. I'm also editing my poems alot, so check back often because I will most likely have a new update soon. I'm also slowly getting rid of poems that no longer add up to the quality of my work now. I think of it as spring cleaning. UPDATE: FP is working for me again-ish. lol Reviews are coming slowly. =D And I'm re-doing all my writing on here. It needs to be cleaned up. I'm sorry but I'm removing all my stuff and putting it back up, it got a little cluttered here.

I have finally decided to post most of my poems written about the abusive relationship I was in. Some things to note of:

Most of them are written like an allegory.
Contains hints of the abuse mixed with figuirative symbology.
Written in second person, though there are a few exceptions.

I edited them to sound different to each person, because I was trying to hide the abuse while I wrote most of them. These poems have been interpreted as being about suicide, and "the persona's" confrontation with Death symbol of depression/mental illness/inner demons. They have been taken down but they will be re-added.

Thank you for reading and/or reviewing my poems/writings. I'm glad you liked them if you liked them, if you didn't why? Let me know. Seriously.

Are you looking for discussions (and maybe even debates) with people about things of religion/philosophy/ethics? Then come over to The Enlightened Mind Cafe.

I collaborated with Isca to write a series of poems depicting God and Lucifer's relationship in an intresting way. Check it out!

I, Raven Tiger , do solemnly swear to review all the Fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else. I have joined the Review Revolution. Copy and Paste this into your profile to join the Revolution.

"This is to all the cowards who flame people—and don’t leave their name. I have no problem with the constructive critics—no offence to you guys!—I’m talking about the flamers. I declare war against all the flamers, ‘cause flaming is just immature! If you think something sucks that hard, tell us why—it’s only bloody fair! And if you don’t intend on doing so, you’re the sixteen-year-old that takes six-year-old’s lollypops. Go fuck yourself if you’re the flamer—‘cause we are the writers and we are good."
-Crazy4Moony (well paraphrased) from
www.fanfiction.net

So yeah don't flame me, because you won't like me when I'm pissed. -Turns green- Though I have yet to be flamed on here yet so I'm glad.

Miranda Rights for Writers' Subjects

1. You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Do you understand that I will make stuff up, with or without your input?
2. Anything you do say may be used in my next project. Do you understand that my opinion of you will affect how others percieve you?
3. You have the right to consult an attorney...Now or in the future. Do you understand that if you seek legal action you will be, in effect, admitting you're guilty of the actions and/or behavior of said character?
4. If you can't afford an attorney, tough. Do you understand that I'm counting on it?
5. If you decide to answer questions, or otherwise continue our relationship, you'll still have the right to stop answering questions at any time. Do you understand that I'll still make stuff up?
6. Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explanined them to you, are you still willing to be my friend?

YOU KNOW YOU'RE AN AUTHOR IF...

1. You talk to yourself a lot. (e.g. Hmm, what would happen if it was sunny the day Bella got hit by the van? Oh, story idea!! Must get computer!)
2. You talk to yourself about talking to yourself. (e.g. 'Why do I constantly ask my self random things?')
3. When you talk to yourself you often talk to yourself like you're talking to someone else. (e.g. 'Have you ever noticed that deliver could mean someone's liver?')
4. After uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand with awe and say, "Wow, this stuff is great for sugar highs...'
5. You talk to characters from books you really liked.
6. You can't sleep at night because of said conversations.
7. You live off of sugar and caffeine (the two greatest things ever discovered!)
8. You'll check your e-mail every day of the week and then disappear off the face of the earth.
9. Your e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random.
10. When replying to an e-mail, you'll never actually address the point of it.
11. You tend to collect Bic Stics off the ground like picking pennies off the ground.
12. No matter where you are in a room you never have to get up to find a pen/pencil and paper.
13. You own a million pens that never get used because your computer/laptop is much better, in fact, you even forgot how to write with a pen!
14. You spend so many hours writing that you can now type without looking at the keyboard.
15. The letters on your keyboard are wearing off. (once a key actually fell off!)
16. Your wrist(s) hurt because of too much typing.
17. When writing on a slow computer, the words you type take a couple of minutes before appearing because you type too fast for the computer.
18. You have the wonderful talent of being able to talk a lot and think a lot. No one understands how this is possible.
19. Your friends and family think that you have carpal tunnel syndrome.
20. People think you have A.D.D.
21. You think it'd be cool to have A.D.D.
22. You constantly start talking in third person, present or past tense.
23. You start thinking about making lists like this and start giggling for no "apparent" reason
24. Your friends stopped looking at you funny for no apparent reason a loooooong time ago.

And FINALLY, the one way to tell if you're a good writer:

25. You failed English 101.

PLEASE READ WHAT'S UNDER THIS! It's actually important.

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it

Thoughts on Gay Marriage!

1) Gay marriage is not natural, and, as Americans, we reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and liposuction.
2) Gay marriage will encourage straight people to be gay in the same way that hanging around tall people makes you tall. (Raven Tiger: I wish xD I want to be tall! seriously I do...Stop laughing at me. xD).
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because dogs have legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all. Women are still property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriages would be less meaningful if gay marriage was allowed. The sanctity of Brittany Spear's 55 hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children because straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed upon an entire country. That's why we only have one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and female figure in a home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage would change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

-The Best Friend Pledge-

1. When you are blue, I will try and dislodge whatever is in your throat.
2. When you smile, I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
3. When you are scared, I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
4. When you are worried, I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could get until you stop whining.
5. When you are confused, I will use little words.
6. When you are sick, stay the hell away from me. I don't want whatever you've got.
7. When you fall, I will ask if you're okay, sit there and laugh at your clumsy ass.

A good friend will comfort you when (s)he rejects you. A best friend will go up and ask him/her, "It's because you're gay/straight, isn't it?"
A good friend will be there for you when (s)he breaks up with you. A best friend will call him/her up and whisper, "Seven days..."
A good friend helps you up when you fall. A best friend keeps on walking saying, "Walk much, dumb ass?"
A good friend helps you find your prince(ess). A best friend kidnaps him/her and brings him/her to you.
A good friend will ask you if you're okay when you're crying. A best friend will hand you a Kleenex and ask you “Who do I have to kill?”
A good friend will offer you a soda. A best friend will dump theirs on you.
A good friend will sit at the side of the pool with you at that time of the month. A best friend will throw you a tampon and push you in.
A good friend gives you their umbrella in the rain. A best friend takes yours and says, "Run - bitch - run!"
A good friend will help you move. A best friend will help you move the bodies.
A good friend will bail you out of jail. A best friend would be in the room next to you saying, "That was freaking awesome! Let's do it again!"
A good friend never asks for anything to eat or drink. A best friend helps themselves and are the reason why you have no food.
A good friend calls your parents by Mr. and Mrs. and Grandma, by Grandpa. A best friend calls your parents DAD and MOM and Grandma, GRAMPS!
A good friend asks you to write down your number. A best friend has you on speed dial.
A good friend borrows your stuff for a few days and then gives it back. A best friend loses your junk and tells you, "My bad... here's a tissue."
A good friend only knows a few things about you. A best friend could write a very embarrassing biography on your life story...
A good friend will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing. A best friend will kick the whole crowds butt that left you.
A good friend would knock on your front door. A best friend will walk right in and say "I'm home!"
A good friend will help me find my way when I'm lost. A best friend will be the one messing with my compass, stealing my map and giving me bad directions.
A good friend will help me learn to drive. A best friend will help me roll the car into the lake so I can collect insurance.
A good friend will watch my pets when I go away. A best friend won't let me go away without them.
A good friend will go to a concert with me. A best friend will kidnap the band with me.
A good friend hides me from the cops. A best friend is probably the reason they are after me in the first place.
A good friend has your back. A best friend has a KICK ME sign to put on it.
A good friend lets me make an idiot of myself in public. A best friend is up there with me making an idiot out of herself too.
A good friend is only through school/college. A best friend is for life.
