So, you found me. Well, welcome to my 'humble' Scottish profile! I'm just going to list a few random facts about myself and my favourite things. I'm going to try and keep my profile updated as well as I possibly can.
Update: 10-10-08 All of my stories are on a (at this point) temporary hiatus. I'm sorry to all of y'all who might be waiting on the edge of your seat for me to add chapters, but it's just not going to happen. Not anytime soon at the very least. School's a killer.
Name: Anna
Age: 17
Grade: 12th (almost out of highschool!! w00t!!)
I've been reading since I picked up an encyclopedia when I was 4 and I've been seriously writing since I was 9. I have yet to actually finish 'my baby', The Adventures of Ian MacDermott, that I've been working on for over 5 years now, but when I do and when I get it published, I'll be sure to let y'all know. =D
My preferred genres for writing are historical-fiction, western, fantasy, and romance, although I read nearly anything(nearly).
I'm happy to say that I've actually inspired someone else to write (even if it IS only two of my brothers!). My older brother has a profile on here. His name is SlyvainKnight, make sure to check out his stories Legends of Hadar and Half Moon My younger brother also has a profile, his name is 3qui1i6riM. His stories are The Lost Sorcerer and Retribution. Both of those authors and stories are on my favorites list. Please do read those and tell them what you think!
Oh and one of my oldest friends, who's like an older brother to me, has a profile on FP. Please go to his site and check out his story. It's awesome!
My Favourite Books: Flint by Louis L'Amour, Pearls of Lutra by Brian Jacques, Castaways of the Flying Dutchman by Brian Jacques, Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, The Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore, The First King of Shannara by Terry Brooks, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover
My Favourite Authors: Louis L'Amour, Brian Jacques, Anthony Horowitz, Agatha Christie, James Herriot, Terry Brooks and R.A. Salvatore.
My Work...
Important notice about all my work: I will only be posting about the first three or four chapters of my major works in progress so that I can publish them without worry. PLEASE read my Author's Note at the end of The Adventures of Ian MacDermott for a complete explanation.
I will be putting all of the following stories/works on here completely: The Capture of a Princess, The Unicorn, The Lost Prince, The Prophecy, Alone on the Island, and my Poems, Songs, Stories and Random Sentences.
I'm sorry to all the fans of my other stories, (like Lena Bryant, and The Wilson Brothers) but you'll have to wait until those are published before you get to read the whole entire thing. (Unless, of course you are a good friend of mine and you email me with a request to read it. But only my select friends that I know really, really well will get to read all of it.) Sorry again, but that's the way things are.
Note: I'm only going to list the names (and sometimes summaries) for the stories that I am NOT going to try to get published.
Fantasy:
The Capture of a Princess(posted)
The Unicorn(not posted) - Unicorns, historians say, never existed, but we all know that is not true. You see, this particular unicorn is alive right now, in the mind of every child that has an imagination.
The Lost Prince(not posted) - Caitlin MacFarlane is sent to find King Thomas Ross' missing son. The Prince disappeared into the Wilds and hasn't yet returned, and it is up to Cait to find him. Little does she know what else she will find in the Wilds of Solentia.
The Prophecy(not posted) - The Velu were an odd lot. They centered their beliefs mainly on strength. All in all, they were not unlike the Kiowa or Sioux Indians. Logan knew that the Velu had captured someone, little did he know that it was the only remaining member of the Spruce family. Every day, Logan watches from his hiding place, waiting for the right time to rescue the girl that is being held captive.
Action/Adventure:
Alone on the Island(not posted) - ‘Caribbean cruise’ and ‘nice vacation’ weren’t the first things that nineteen year old Laura Jackson thought when she came to. The cruise ship that she and her friend Alice had been on had mysteriously crashed near the shores of an uncharted Island in the middle of the Caribbean and Laura had yet to figure out how it all had happened. Survivors of the wrecked ship suddenly start disappearing and Laura hears weird screeching sounds coming from the forest that keep her awake at night. What are these sounds? And what do they have in common with the disappearances?
My Friends' Work...
Fred and Sam's Adventure to Freedom(posted) -Written by my friend Grace
In Search of a King(posted) -Written by my friend Grace
Anyways...
Yeah, I'm going to be editing my profile off and on.
Well, I guess I'll just leave it at that... for now. If y'all have got any questions, feel free to ask, I'm always here for y'all!
