Formly known as...oh screw those people
Okay, since you're obviously reading this, you obviously want to know about me...so I'll start from the beginning: I was born...
No no, small joke! I bet some of you are going: "Jeez, she's a nut!" Well I have one thing to say to that: "Nuts! Where! You can't be talking about me, I've passed my sanity test." Friend Liz rips keyboard from hands "She barely passed, don't listen to her!" Tackles Liz, Diego Sanchez style. "She has no idea what she's talking about...ignore the friend in pain."
Alright, I'm 15 right now...and I'm officially a published poet. But only of one poem "Simply Me" and suddenly I'm my school's biggest celeb. I was on the school's freaking website the next day, my principle wanted a copy of the poem, I have to write the underclassmen opening for the yearbook, and have to be interviewed for the Devils Digest...Grabs pillow and screams as loud as possible!
To deal with such stressful times I turn to my personal method of therapy...and this works for anybody:
Step 1: Go into your room and close the door-tell your mom or dad you have a lot of homework
Step 2: Turn on you computer and search Paramore-Misery Business-although I am recently finding that Witch Doctor with the Chipmunks works too-and click on whichever link seems necessary
Step 3: BLARE THAT SONG AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY-you'll know it works when you suddenly ask yourself "Why am I blaring this again?"
I believe in the statement Music = Life and without my music I would not be the type of person I am today. And my house would be incredibly quiet on those hot summer days when my parents aren't home. That's a LLLOOONNNGGG story. It involves: Me...Paramore's CD RIOT!...my huge stereo system that I got for my B-Day...an extension cord...an outdoor dose of my own therapy...and some very old and cranky neighbors. Music and regular day to day life inspire my poetry and some of my short stories
This would be the link to click on for this infamous song that my neighbors hate soooo much.
!Paramore Rulz!
Aside of being a total music fanatic, I'm a reading fan as well. Which is funny because before 6th grade I never picked up a book, never wanted too. Then I gradually started to pick up books and read them at my own pace and realized that this reading thing was pretty cool. Now I work at a daycare and totally encourage the kids to pick up books and read. And if they don't...well I usually sit them on my lap and read to them.
When it comes to my writing I've begun to figure out that I idolize historic figures and don't even know it. In a story that I've been fiddling with I suddenly realized that one of my characters 'Alexander' slightly resembled 'Alexander the Great' (minus the being gay, and doing it with his mom, and raping his wife, AND...cheating on his wife and mom with a gay guy) Then his brother 'Nicholas' is like 'Caesar' but on a completely different power level (King of some place that I won't tell you about). Then there' s 'Riccia'-Alexander's not raped wife-who reminds me of 'Boudicca of the Celtics'. And on and on and on and on but I won't name all of them because that would be a creepy combo. And to all the writers who are trying to get something published or even finished-cause trust me I've been there-I have two quotes for you that always help me get through the rough times.
"I reject reality and substitute my own!"
Adam Savage
"Fortune favors the bold"
Alexander the Great
So yeah those quotes seem to help me a lot when it comes to writing...and I really like the one from Alexander the Great. That's helped me a lot when it comes to poetry and other stuff like that.
Right now I'm currently trying to finish The Slayer because quite frankly it's one of my better stories...and at this point my only. Recently my piece of crap laptop crashed and other stories that I had like The Flip Side, The Red Rose, Ninja Tales: Operation Oricale are all, well, gone. I cried for about three hours-considered The Slayer to be among them-and then I realized that I had saved it onto my mother's computer. So if anyone has any suggestions for my story please feel free to send it to me.
In other current news, I am currently dating this wonderful guy who as I put it in A Love Poem "I couldn't believe it, I didn't know how, But I knew something was starting, To form in my heart" He's brought my writing to a level where it now streams straight from my heart rather than my mind adn I couldn't love him more for that. He's made me a better person all and all, and so I plan to write a short one shot about how I managed to repay him for what he did for me. The story will be titled A Solo for Two
