Oh deary me, some poor soul has stumbled across my profile...hello.

Welcome to Starry's profile, then, I guess.

Pseudonym: Star Kurosaki
Birthday: 26 May
Gender: Female. (Did you know a female is more likely to survive in the wild than a male?)
Hobbies: Writing (duh), reading, all forms of music, photography and digital photmanipulation
Instruments I play: Piano, alto saxophone, tenor saxphone (love), acoustic guitar
Favorite Genres of Books/Stories: Fantasy, adventure, macabre horror, harlequin romance, fluffy romance

My FanFiction page is here: www.fanfiction.net/~starryknight46 .

I write mostly romance and fantasy. I think of myself as a relatively good poet, not trying to be egotistical, but I have more poems up because people are generally less critical of poems than stories XD. I'm also usually open to beta requests, but as I am a freshman this year, I won't have as much leisure time as usual.
I like writing in second person.
I am a young writer, but don't let that affect your views of my work. No one is "too young" or "too inexperienced" to write.

Shamless Advertising! Go read Lauren's, Kelly's, Jonathan's, and Emma's stuff! You can also read Lauren's and Kelly's horror stuff if you want. I don't have any work on that site, but maybe if I ever get good at writing horror I'll put it there.

Enjoy my stuff!

Completed Stories (alphabetical order)

Abusive
Just a drabble of sorts about a boy who is in love with his best friend, but she has an abusive boyfriend. This is entirely fiction, just so you know, it never happened to me or anyone else I know.

Bittersweet Symphony
Just an outlet for all the weird, nameless emotions I've been feeling as of late.

Cheating On The Cheater
A girl who cheats on her boyfriend who cheated on her.

Cinderella
An f-ed up fairytale, so to speak.

Essences of Life
So I've been on writers block lately, so this piece is basically me experimenting with imagery.

Halloween Mayhem
A little fluffbit commission for Cheeky-Crayon. Characters are not mine.

Hate
You've taught me how to hate, and I hate you for it.

Limbo
Playing around with Sci-fi. Inspired by Wall-E and the Pendragon series, but mostly the weird, dark recesses of my mind.

Out Of My Mind
A girl converses with the voices in her head.

Texting While Driving
We saw a video in class about texting while driving, and the fact that it's almost more dangerous than drunk driving. Describes a car crash and the loss of a best friend.

The Saltwater Room
So I just bought the song The Saltwater Room by Owl City, and have fallen in love with it. I just decided to write a short, fluffy ficlet based on it.

The iPod Oracle
Not a story, but a game. Read for instructions!!

Stories In Progress (alphabetical order)

Beast and the Harlot
Strong, independent, do-it-yourself Calliope finally meets the man of her dreams. It was really too simple. So what's the catch?

Elemental Mage
Caidan Erickson and Audrey Miller are polar opposites. Caidan is obnoxious, sporty, and (unfortunately) smart, where Audrey is short, smart, and sarcastic. The two of them are drawn into a magical book of fairy tales, where they must write this story the way history meant it to or be killed in the process.

The Goose Boy
Everyone knows and loves the tale of the Goose Girl... but we never hear about the story from the point of view of the Goose Boy. Enter Conrad. Resident goose boy, he's lazy, and he's a servant, for crying out loud. He also has the misfortune of knowing exactly what the evil serving-maid posing as the princess is up to.

The Lost Priestess
Probably the most successful plot idea I've ever had, though it was written in like 6th grade and is being painstakingly edited, so I may not post updates as often.

Poems (alphabetical order)

How
How do you fix what doesn't even have an owner's manual?

I Love You
A poem for someone I love(d).

I Need You Here
A short poem with the theme of needing someone through life's obstacles.

Is This Necessary?
Dedicated to the girls who babble on and on about every detail of their lives and you just don't care. But do they stop? Noooo...

Nature Suite
A series of poems praising Mother Nature and her children.

Only A Friend
A poem I wrote about my two best friends who were dating. (The boy talked about in the poem is actually my ex-boyfriend too, but we didn't start dating until after this poem was published.)

Paint Me A Picture
Written for people out there with broken hearts. Ironically, it didn't apply to me at all until a little while after I wrote it.

Pondering
Shortest freaking poem EVER, but that's irrelevant. I was wondering about my then-boyfriend.

Rainbows
Honestly, I have no idea. Don't even ask me.

Silence
I tried to find myself. I really did try. I reached into my soul and pulled out a knot of things that I don't have words to describe. I'm afraid to take the knots apart because I'm afraid they'll unravel and I'll discover that I'm just empty.

Starlit
Just for kicks'n'giggles. A cute little swatch about lovers at night that I wrote a while ago.

Thank You
I owe so much to my bff's boyfriend. He told her exactly what she had to hear when her best friends couldn't.

The Composer
On the surface, the story is about a female composer writing a commission piece of music for a commission, deciding between what her artistic ability would put and what the commissionee would like. However, looking deeper, it is synonymous to a matchmaker, watching a failing relationship and pondering how to orchestrate a new one.

What Is Love?
Tell me if you know. I'm still trying to figure this one out.
