Hey, my name is Eydís (pronounced kinda like 'Adees') and I'm 15 years old. I like reading more than I like writing most of the time, but we all know that sometimes writing is a very nice form of therapy.
I'm a part of a 300.000 people nation situated somewhere in the North Atlantic ocean on an island called Iceland. I love it so much here and although I'm planning to at least study a bit in France (Providing that I actually manage to learn the language) I don't think I'll ever leave this place permanently. I mean come on, there's like one traffic jam a year in the capital! :D
I love few things more than I love horses, specifically my horse (her name's Embla, FYI :)). It's illegal to import horses to Iceland so we only have one breed here and that's the Icelandic horse. For those who know anything about horses, NO THEY ARE NOT PONIES! :D
Anyways, I also like reading and writing, I can play the guitar a bit (not well) and I love drawing. I've always been kind of mad at my parents for not signing me up for some cool sport like football (the kind where you actually kick the ball with your feet, not run around carrying it until someone bulldozes you over, no offense), handball, dance, gymnastics or anything that everyone else was doing. I curse them to this day :D all they ever forced me into was horses, and I'm not even that good at them (don't worry, I'm not bad either).
I can listen to almost any kind of music (when I say that I mean that I like rap (mostly Kanye West), some semi classical (or whatever you call Marit Larsen), most British chicks singing about their boyfriends in an innocent voice until you realize their telling you how they vandalized him or hated him or whatever, rock (Brand New and The Arctic Monkeys are my favorites (Does Jason Mraz count as rock? didn't think so, but I like him :D), and in certain moods (surprisingly I don't mean when I feel bad) I really like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Iron Maiden). I think I'm pretty versatile.
I also love movies, almost every kind. I can watch chick flicks and tragedies and action and comedies, but I hate thrillers and cartoons (I'm sorry, I'm not cool enough to be in touch with my roots and like cartoons. Maybe it's because my standards are really high when it comes to drawing, of some reason). I do like full length cartoons, though, don't fear :D I absolutely love dance movies, my favorite being a french one called 'Salsa'. The Step Up movies are good too (well, maybe not on the acting and story factor, but the dancing and the eye candy isn't too bad :D)
Anyways, I think this profile made my sound bitchy (I haven't read it over) but I'm not bitchy...well, I am on the inside but I won't be to your face or behind your back, just to myself :D ohh, and I think I need to specify that I'm not crazy. Everything bad I say is probably just because I don't actually speak English well...Ekker er mér að kenna. Google that.
