So! What to say?
My name is Marie and i'm from Melbourne, Australia. I'm currently completing a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing at Victoria University.
I've been writing since i was a kid, and aspire to be a journalist after school. However, my ultimate goal is to be a published author. At the moment, i have only a few writing exercises i've done in class posted on FP, but i'm working on a novel that i will put up once it's complete. I also have a short story that i'm working on and in the process of editing. In addition, i have an idea for a series of humorous ficlets which i also intend to post at various points.
Having said all that, i feel that i should point out that this profile was created for the sole purpose of reviewing one story that i absolutely loved, but the writer was considering stopping for lack of reviews. I couldn't live without this fic, and needless to say, had to do something to prevent it's early demise. At the time, i was against posting any of my work here, but i've apparently had a change of heart.
I have writen FanFiction, although i quit in order to focus on original projects. I have written many pieces for Harry Potter and Tamora Pierce (if anyone out there has heard of her) and my profile for ff.net can be found at http://www.fanfiction.net/u/691977/ should you be interested in reading them.
Also, for anyone who loves Harry Potter discussion, and wants to hear more talk about the novels, actors, movies, etc, i recommend www.mugglecast.com MuggleCast is a podcast about everything Harry Potter. It's very well done and very proffessional despite the hosts being so young, (their ages range from 24 - 18). They're all up to date and are hilarious, so check them out.
