There is nothing more satisfying than sitting by a warm fire and listening to a good tale be told. There is nothing more enchanting than the sound of words and the spell of a story entrancing your imagination to think of things that don't grace this world. There is nothing more intriguing than being allowed access to someone else's imagination and the knowledge of that you, as a reader, are being given a glance, as small as it might be, of another's dream. However, though I am from a line of storytellers, I long ago lost or buried the ability to regale my listeners out loud with stories on the spot that could keep you glued to your seat until the very end, even though my throat might grow sore from constant use.
Instead, I have become friends with a pen and paper, loving them as if they were peices of gold and silver, as if they were portals to new worlds that I could only imagine. With a single stroke of a pen, my imagination comes to life, and my voice can speak without sound and open your eyes to a new sort of non-reality. Enter my imagination if you dare, and while you're there, please leave a note here and there so I know that I'm not the only one enjoying the story...I call myself Kathleen Moon, a writer and a dreamer.
