Author has written 3 stories for Fantasy, Young Adult, and Humor. • • • • • News 8.14 - Wow, haven't been on for a while. I'm going to put up Against the Flow and a few poems. Maybe an excerpt of Imagination's Flight too. • • • • • Stories Imagination's Flight: (in progress) A fantasy novel that chronicles how one of the Strong-Willed, minutes away from death, bequeaths his power to the mysterious "Wielder," but forgets to let anyone know that he's done it. As a result, many years later, Egan's imagination escapes the privacy of his skull and runs amok. Thankfully, one of the more positive side effects is the death of a certain Thing named Cruhon... The Benefit of a Detriment: (complete) If any mouse can tell you the meaning of "left out," it's Todd. On the first day of spring, he gets a chance to change that fact. Forever. With a mushroom. Against the Flow: (complete) Bethany's been a member of the Clique for years, and now she's starting to feel the side effects -- such as the hatred of her fellow students and a lack of friends. Real friends, that is. Beyond the Reaches of Common Sense: (complete) A humorous poem about Paul, a guy whose friend is starting to give him a major headache. I mean, you can only sit and listen to how hot dogs are actually 37 percent hoof for so long, right? • • • • • About Me: Ciao! I'm Trielan, your ordinary aspiring novelist and Pirates of the Caribbean fanatic. My passion in life is writing -- fantasy, mostly, with some intermediate fiction mixed in -- and I'm probably not what you'd call the most...stereotypical adolescent. Some of the reasons for this include my implicit knowledge of computer programming, my obsession with rain and my extreme dislike of sun, my zealous attitude toward literature and my peculiar method of thinking. I do not particularly enjoy summer, and I look forward to school. I'd lovelovelove to learn how to swordfight, but as far as I know there aren't any decent schools anywhere near here. I'd enjoy giving it if a try if I could, though. How spiffy would it be to be at the caliber of, say, Jack Davenport or even Johnny Depp at that gold old-fashioned sport of inflicting great damage upon others with metal sticks? Random fact #1: I adore musical theater. Beauty and the Beast is by far my favorite musical, closely followed by All Shook Up and A Christmas Carol. Random fact # 2: I really, really wish I could sing. And act. Well, I probably could do at least the latter quite well if I wanted to (being a writer, it is easy for me to portray emotion I don't really feel), but for some reason I feel...self-conscious when I try to. Random fact #3: I love Thomas Kinkade's paintings. A lot. All of them. Favorites include The Mountains Declare His Glory, Twilight Vista, Amber Afternoon, The Good Life, any that include snow (he does those so well!) and most of the little-secluded-cottage ones. ♥ | |||||||
