A Concise List of Things I Enjoy (and Hate)

Revised 10/4/08

I enjoy being pale.

I hate followers.

I enjoy originality.

I hate the word "like" when it's, like, used after, like, every, like, word.

I enjoy reading books so long, you can barely hold them in one hand.

I hate conceitedness.

I enjoy optimism.

I hate those who joke about wanting to kill/injure themselves (i.e., "I SERIOUSLY want to kill myself right now. I SERIOUSLY cannot handle taking a 5-point Reading Check quiz that is worth about .3 percent of my grade--even though I'll probably never remember my sheer wretchedness at this moment a few years from now. I. Still. SERIOUSLY. Want. To. Die").

I enjoy writing stories that make others laugh.

I hate being late.

I enjoy listening to music (on YouTube) while writing.

I('m beginning to) hate vampire novels. (Seriously, they're EVERYWHERE now. Back when I first picked up the beautiful Twilight in '05, it was NOTHING like this. Now it's a freaking epidemic.)

I (primarily) enjoy alternative music, but I do fancy some techno/'70's/'80's music on occasion.

I hate (HATE, HATE, HATEEEE) "Hey There, Delilah" by Plain White T's. (I mean, I loved it when it came out, oh, FOUR YEARS AGO. Now I hate it oh, OH so much. End of story.)

I enjoy(ed) New Amsterdam -- when it was on the air, that is. HOW COULD THEY HAVE CANCELED THAT AWESOMENESS? Seriously.

I hate the cold -- and getting all bundled up in sweats and sweatshirts, just to be in my own HOUSE. Plus, I always feel like I have to store up fat for the winter...

I enjoy the Classics (i.e., Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Scarlet Letter). Something appeals to me about the purity of life/love back then. I mean, Mr. Rochester wouldn't have been all up and grinding his gurl, Jane, at a club, right? And Elizabeth wouldn't have been texting Mr. Darcy that they "shld ttly get 2gether @ his plce," either.

My Favorite...

Books: Everything by Stephenie Meyer, Libba Bray, Meg Cabot, Megan McCafferty and Sarah Dessen; Old Magic by Marianne Curley; The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson; Dairy Queen and The Off Season by Catherine Gilbert Murdock, and so forth...

Video games: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and Prince of Persia: Two Thrones, God of War.

Sardonic and completely sarcastic, Adrian has some issues with people. Slaying vampires doesn't help much either. But when she meets Dean, a vampire himself, something happens: her life is completely changed as she knows it.

You know what I think America needs? We need to stop focusing on damn sex. I mean, really, I’ve lived for sixteen years without doing it, and look at me. Okay — scratch that. Bad example.
