Author has written 5 stories for Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and General.
It's been a long time since I wrote anything. Last time updated was October 8th, 2009. Hah, almost three years in the making. What shall I do huh... oh I know. Time to start over from scratch I'd imagine.
Hello, this is Kagami speaking. As of July 25, 2012, I have finally come out of the thing known as Hiatus. I have acquired a bit more time now, and creativity juices have slowly filled up in my head once again. I am not sure just how much my skill as a writer has improved/deteriorated/not really changed over the past three years, but I plan to at least devote a part of my time, and my soul, to writing again. Of course, the existing chapters of my stories will be taken down... or something, since I no longer use them. Blah I'll figure out what to do with them.
I know it must be frustrating to see stories never come to fruition and complete, but I also realize that a large amount of time and devotion must be placed into each story as well, to make sure that they bear fruit and find an ending. Thus, I am not going to promise to finish the stories, even if I can finish them. I can say this much, however, that as long as someone gives me a small message of motivation, of support, it will go quite far in helping me reach the end of the stories that I am writing. I think it goes for every person out there as well. So, for my return after three years, I hope that my presentations will be of interesting read once again. [/Rant]
The previous story, Illusionary Flames of an Imperishable Night, is being rewritten. The name is also changed into Dragon Scales. You'll understand why. The newest story, Dreamless Soul, will be the second project and I intend to write both at the same time, alternating every chapter.
Unlike Dragon Scales, where it's a rewritten piece based off already accumulated ideas, Dreamless Soul is something completely new and thus go through a rougher start and I imagine, a longer period for the production of successive chapters. I just hope that with some time management I can pull it off haha.
A little about each story:
Dragon Scales: Science fiction in urban/modern era/near-future setting. Focuses on a few ideas/themes - evolution, man vs. nature, man vs. man, technology versus biology, science versus supernatural/unknown. Arthur, the protagonist, and his encounter with the product of man-playing-god, Bridget, and the destiny that awaits the two.
Dreamless Soul: Science fiction in modern era/altered. Focuses on existentialism, conceptual ideas of dreams, the human psyche, the aspect of the soul and its host, complexity of what "reality" is. Rin Katakiri, a colorless individual in an apathetic and cynical society, fought with tooth and claw until the day he found out that the phenomenon, Cerebral Dissonance Disorder, may become a worldwide epidemic, and that he would play a crucial part in the game that dictates the survival of both dreams and reality.
