5/16/08 - I got my first flame, yay me!

Welcome, friends! As if it weren't obvious, you have reached my profile.

I suppose you'd like to know a little something about me...

I finally got around to getting one of these, huzzah! I've been writing creative prose since 8th grade, but I like writing fanfiction much better (click on the homepage link).

I'm 19, a community college/uni second year who is extremely apprehensive about what the future holds, and an aspiring author. Music is my life; I just wish I could perform it a little better.

Philosophies on...

- WRITING: Writing is a way to express ideas in one of the most wonderful mediums known to man: words. Words are rich and full of depth, color, texture, sight, sound, touch, taste...and any other sensation imaginable. Therefore, writing should be treated with the utmost respect, by both the author and reader. Not only should the quality of the work be high, but also the feedback of the reader/reviewer should be helpful or beneficial in some way to the author. And as I don't really enjoy being a hypocrite, I constantly strive to do this in both my writing and reviews.

- REVIEWS: I ADORE THEM! Please, please, PLEASE review me! I live for reviews, and it's wonderful to know that you took the time to read and review my work.

- FLAMES: If you feel the need to flame me, go right ahead. As I've already stated, I try and keep my standard of writing as high as possible for me, so I take it as a good sign that I have only received one so far. However, if you feel that strongly opposed to a story, idea, principle, turn of phrase, whatever, go ahead and spout off. I appreciate the effort and expended energy on my part, as well as the laughs I will undoubtedly have. It takes a lot to hurt my feelings, so have fun. Just keep the profanity to a minimum, please. I might use it sparsely in my writing if the situation calls for it, but I don't necessarily enjoy reading/writing/saying/hearing it in excess.
