A Guide to My Work
LIFE: Sixteen Year Old Virgin is about pressures in life - though, according to the reviews that I recieved, it is a rather controversial subject. If you believe that the defition of "emo" is confused, try out Pearly White Emo. Oddly enough, This Sweet River is actually based on the death of a child from their perspective, but beware, it's sad. Whatever Happened to Miss Independence? is a poem on today's society. An Angel's Tears is another poem about society and losing faith in humanity. This Broken Smile is personally one of my faves lyrics, which are slightly angsty, it's about hiding behind a mask. Do I Look Fat? is my outlook on pointless questions in life. After experiencing a superficial faze in my life where I wanted to be someone I wasn't for a certain boy, I wrote I Can't Help It. Let the Wind Erase Me is a haiku completely up for interpretation.
ANGST: Although it is technically about apathy, I put A Soulless Creature in this category. Please Don't Say It is a poem on heartbreaking guilt from unrequited love, while Let Me Sing You a Song is from the opposite perspective; the heartbreak of it. Lost is self-explanatory, and Sometimes is about regret and realization. At times I find it easier to just ignore the truth and reality, which is what inspired Living in Dreams. His Three Words is based on a true experience of mine; around the time when I realized that all men were slobs who were either completely oblivious to life or just don't care. If you're sick of hearing about romances or if you've ever felt completely isolated, you could give Runaway a try. On the subject of death, I have Evanescence of My Last Words, lyrics involving lies and deceit, and This Lonely Bird, which is about the comfort of suicide. Lastly, Do I Go or Do I Stay? is about having the choice of life and death.
FLUFFY: This section also involves some silly stories, too, such as He Loves Me Not (a silly poem about naive girls) or Sunday Lovers (someone who isn't looking for a serious relationship). Then there's My First Haikus, which are To Dance in the Rain & Let's Fly to the Moon Together. I'm not sure if you'd classify Sunset fluffy, but it's a romance about being completely in love, so I just put it here, as well as Watch Me. I'm not really sure if Yanking Strings is actually what you'd define "fluffy" either, but it's about loving someone despite their poor treatment of you.
HUMOUR: Snow White and the Seven Very Strange Tall Things is a fractured fairytale on Snow White. Take My Advice is a really random poem I wrote, based on a true story, it's about the negatives of hugging trees. That's about it for humour, but there is more to come later on. Yesterday I wrote a six-page long "captivating drama" called Billy's Favourite Pair of Blue Pants, which is on a boy named Billy who's favourite pair of blue pants are abducted by aliens and the lengths he will go to to get them back.
OTHER: These are just things I couldn't be bothered giving their own individual category for. My Dreams Caress Me is a poem I wrote on the topic of dreams not just being plain old images, but instead somewhere one can escape to. Satisfied Yet, Baby? is a poem from a slightly scary woman's perspective as she contemplates on how she is going to kill her lover. The feeling of emptiness really doesn't have a category, so I put my poem Nothing here. Scars That Never Heal is about losing the person you love because of an argument or fight. Crumble was written after a particularly unpleasant break up and my determination to be resilient. My only story that is up so far is The Four Leafed Clover, but is unfortunately on hiatus for now. It's about a very unlucky girl who is recovering from the loss of her parents and her boyfriend (though the latter seems far less dramatic compared to the first). The Wings of Black Doves (please read, I want opinions), is my first ever poem on war.
More to Come!
Definition of a Stalker: 'Someone who prowls or sneaks about; usually with unlawful intentions.' A romance/thriller (and possibly supernatural). Nikki is a perfectly normal girl who can sometimes be mistaken as shallow. Beginning from a simple phone call, Nikki finds herself stalked and kidnapped, thus pulling her into a world of love, betrayal and, most of all, hostility. She's at the centre of a war of two civilizations she never even knew existed - and, she can't be sure, but it seems that they're fighting for her...
Girls, Boys, and Strawberries: They're three unusual girls who form an even more unusual friendship. There's Totty, the beautiful, athletic one who has a new admirerer every day; Pey, the self-conscious one who believes only pretty girls can fall in love; and Addie, the cold, sometimes bitter one who thinks love is far too cliché. Together they embark on a not-so-unusual adventure: to find their one true love (whether they realise it or not). Whether it be boys, girls, or strawberries, these girls are determined.
Being Lexi Jazz: Lexi Jazz is a woman going onto her thirties. She's a teacher for high school and her life is at a bit of a rough patch at the moment. Her husband just ran away with another girl and a student at school is giving her a hard time. This is Lexi Jazz in her adventure to find a new life, new love, and a new wardrobe.
If you want you can PM me on which you would prefer me to work on more. They probably won't be on for a while, but with encouragement I can work faster.
