I've been writing for as long as I can remember but to date I have only ever managed to complete short pieces (under 2,000 words). There's something about coming to the end of a story that I find difficult, after having spent so long dreaming up my characters I'm reluctant to let them go.
I've posted on here a collection of my favourite short stories that I've written over the past few years, most of them for a creative writing course at University, and a few longer pieces.
'The Battle For Seal Gate' I have been working on longest and is deeply set within the fantasy genre. I've done my best to avoid the worst of the clichés but its not always possible! I would appreciate any reviews which point out where my characters are too clichéd for this story to work and any other comments!
My most recent story is 'Sucker' which I've started as a response to studying Modern Gothic Literature. I'm hoping to explore the Gothic genre and bring it more in line with the Horror genre to create a new way of 'grossing people out'.
If you're not into reading fantasy or horror stories then I'm not the sort of writer for you!
If anyone reviews/comments on my work I will return the favour as soon as possible :)
