Hey ya'll, I would appreciate it if you would check out J.L. Hastings stories as well. Believe me, she is a wonderful writer, and you can't help but get attached to her stories, so if you're in the neighborhood, send her a review. Thanks!
Id like to thank Moose21 for this funny poem...it was a gift. Haha! I love it :)
Bridie birdie, in the sky,
why'd you do that in my eye?
looks like sugar,
taste like sap,
OH MY GOSH IT'S BIRDIE CRAP!
=)
About Me...
I...actually have no idea what to write here. Um, well, if I had to tell you the two most important things in my life, the two things I live and breath for, it's friends and magic. Magic as in the fantasy genre, more specifically. If I had to use one word to describe myself... I would have to say I'm curious. I'm always curious. Well, enough about me. Read ma stories.
If I find any books I really like, I'm going to recommend them on here, like...
Sue Monk Kidd's The Secret Life of Bees. Best book I've ever read for class. Characters are wonderful and the whole novel is very vivid and powerful.
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. A story about a future anti-Utopia. It takes place in London, where people are subject to the highest level of social conformity in order to achieve a greater happiness.
The whole Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I think it's meant for adolescents, but anyone can enjoy it if they keep an open-mind. Its about cats fighting for territory, and so much more...
Fairest by Gail Carson Levine, who is the same author as Ella Enchanted. Is about a girl who lives in a country of singers, and her voice alone is one of the fairest. But she hates herself for being ugly, and her search for vanity may cost her her life...
Reviews...
Constructive criticism is appreciated. Flaming isn't.
For all you flamers out there, I don't mind a bit of medicine every now and then. But just remember, too much medicine at once can be a bad thing.
Chances are, if you review me, I'll gladly review back. I love giving constructive criticism, but no flames.
My stories... drum roll
Ariana, Be Forgotten- DISCONTINUED for now. Is more interesting than I can make it sound. (sorry, bad at summaries.) A tale of a waitress who gets sucked into a world of danger and and delusion. Accompanied by a crabby vampire and light-hearted necromancer, she has to find a way to gain back control of her government, and along with it, the right to practice her country's religion. Set in a medieval-like time period of a country called Gagoria. Slightly twisted plotline. R&Rers are loved!
Unborn- Daniele Harper is just your average teen with bad luck. But when her rotten luck ends up ending her life, she becomes sworn in as a grim reaper. She is promised a new life if she can complete her task. But her job has more twists than she bargained for... Again, I suck at summaries. Is a very twisted story. Soul Sworn is the second book. Reborn is the third.
This is a poem I found on the internet specifically to put on the preface of Unborn.
“My life closed twice before its close;
It yet remains to see
If Immortality unveil
A third event to me,
So huge, so hopeless to conceive,
As these that twice befell.
Parting is all we know of heaven,
And all we need of hell.”
-Emily Dickinson
