My Poems?
Old. Written an eon ago. Read if you like. d:)
"When the headphones are on,
all you have to worry about is if
the volume can go up any louder."
I just graduated high school this past June. C/O 'o8 FTW! d:D I'm half Asian and half white. Go figure.
My life revolves around (not necessarily in this order)
-My friends (they're just too cool d:))
-My boyfriend d:) (I love him dearly)
-My family (when they aren't driving me crazy)
-Love (I believe in it with all my heart and soul, even when it makes people (like myself) do stupid things; alas, I am a hopeless romantic)
-Music (is life; my iPod is my friend, and I guarentee there is a song for every occasion and emotion)
-Writing (duh)
-Memories (and dwelling on them, even when I shouldn't)
-Summer nights (are best when spent with those you love d:))
-Singing (even if I can't sing well)
-Art (is like breathing)
-The Beach (I'm a pure summer-beach girl, even though I now live in a small city in L.A. County, miles away from any real beach)
-Quotes (I'm a quote freak;; get used to it)
-The City (the constant motion of it keeps me going)
-Night life (I'm a night owl when I can be, an insomniac when I shouldn't be)
-Midnights and early morning hours (the hours before the sun comes up)
-Summer (wait, didn't I just say that not too long ago?)
-Photography (I love taking pictures, usually of scenery)
-Dancing (fun to do when no one's around to see how bad you are)
You may see alot of these in my stories.
"I'm impossible to forget but hard to remember."
-Elizabethtown
My stories are often either
-Ideas that just popped into my head (ex: Love's Been A Long Time Coming; Lasting Impressions; The Outcasts of Society; Untitled #1)
-Memories or things that have happened to me (ex: The Promise; He Doesn't Know My Name; Untitled #3)
or
-Memories/People in my past/present mixed with scenarios of what could have been (ex: The Promise, One Wish; Closure; Untitled #2; The Outcasts of Society)
I'm heavily influenced by music, quotes, and songs, so you may notice that there are many quotes, songs, and song lyrics used in my stories, all of which I give credit to after I finish posting a full and completed new story.
"I raise my glass and toast:
Heres to the summers
That we thought would
Never end..."
-yours truly, RR
I love my hats and my sunglasses, so that's what's with my smilies all having a little d in front of the face; to give it a hat (ex: d:) get it?). The sunglass smilie just looks weird to me though so I don't use it very often, if at all.
Fck labels. If you must, then I'm the preppiest non-prep-rocker girl you'll ever meet, and the girliest non-girly-girl you'll ever know. That is all.
Ain't it funny how,
After reading all that,
It would seem that you know both everything about me...
And nothing whatsoever about who I am?
d:P
"At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world.
Some are running scared.
Some are coming home.
Some tell lies to make it through the day.
Others are just now facing the truth.
Some are evil men, at war with good.
And some are good, struggling with evil.
6 billion people in the world.
6 billion souls…
And sometimes…
All you need is one."

If you read, please review. d:) I always return reviews (I believe that it's only fair to do r4r). If you have questions or constructive critisism, I usually reply back. Of course, if your review just plain made my day, then I'll reply back as a thank you. d:)
On that note...
No flames please. d:D I don't flame anyone, so I hope for the same in return.
Well, that's about it. So welcome. Read. Review. Enjoy.

STORIES
Note #1: Most of my poetry on here is stuff I wrote when I was 13-15 years old. I'm no poet. The stories are the more recent things that I've written (finished within the last year or few months or weeks), for I feel I am better at writing stories rather than poetry.
Note #2: All my stories have a full summary in the prologue/first chapter, so if you're curious as to what it is you are reading or what some particular story is about, then go to the first chapter and read it at the top d:)
Note #3: I give a full summary of whichever story(/ies) I am working on or have yet to start. Enjoy d:D
Finished Stories:

Kiera Sparks has boy troubles. Lots of them. She can't seem to stay on any guy's radar for more than a month, and then (poof!) he's lost interest in her and has found an interest in her best friend, Holly Tilden. Holly is everything Kiera wishes she herself was: Glamorous, gorgeous, funny, charismatic, and sexy. Kiera, on the other hand, was just too plain and simple; a girl next door type. Like the song said, "She's Miss America, and I'm just the girl next door..." The type who never gets the guy. At least, that’s what it’s like at her school. Thankfully for Kiera, Holly has rejected any and all guys that Kiera has liked, and has remained faithfully by Kiera's side for nearly ten years. Holly, being as good a friend as she possibly can be, tells Kiera that high school guys are all the same and not to worry about it too much. Kiera, however, has other notions, and seeks the advice of her long time friend and ex boyfriend, Ricky Stanton. When Kiera and Holly go to the mall, Holly secretly invites Ricky to surprise Kiera. Kiera is ecstatic, but later confides in Holly that she has finally admitted to herself that, though she is, to some degree, still in love with Ricky, she feels that she has to let go of him and what they once had so that she can finally move on with her life. "Maybe that's what's wrong with me," she tells Holly. Holly is skeptical and tries to convince Kiera otherwise. What will happen when Ricky decides to show up at Kiera’s school dance that following weekend?

The adrenaline is pumping as the show is about to start. Roxanne can’t wait for it. It’ll take her mind off of things. Off of him. She forces herself to think of the band tonight, and the awesome show they’re about to put on. They have a guest band that will be featured on the last song on their set, and everyone says they’re great, but Roxanne has her doubts. She doubts whether they’ve actually rehearsed the music. She questions whether or not their work ethic is a reliable one. She has never met any of their guests' band mates. She has never even heard of their band! And on top of all that, a lot of her own band mates have been acting very strangely. Were they hiding something from her? And as if that wasn’t enough, someone has been stalking her recently. Could the stalker be the person she thinks it is? Even worse…could her stalker be in the audience right at that moment, waiting for the perfect opportunity to grab her?

Seventeen-year-old Artemis Desson has gone on vacation to Vietnam for three weeks with her family. Once there, her mother introduces her to a few friends of the family, including an extremely handsome son of theirs named Hunter Sift. Hunter feels that, as a yearly visitor to Vietnam and someone who knows a lot about it, it is his duty to take Artemis around for a few nighttime rides on one of the millions of motor scooters that swarm the streets of Saigon every day. Over the next two and a half weeks, they grow closer and closer by the day. He gives her a bracelet that he made for her, as a sign of the bond that they have and the times that they have shared. Finally, the day that Artemis is to fly back home arrives, and Hunter takes her on one last joyride on the way to the airport. It is there that he tells her that he has fallen in love with her and hopes that she never forgets him. Artemis, on the flight home, realizes just how much she will miss him. When her senior year of high school starts, she tells her friends about her summer, and how she left her heart in Vietnam with a boy she may never meet again. Will she ever see him again, or will he just be another memory?
-Untitled #3
Faye Renolds is spending the summer before her eighth grade year at her dad's house. That's great news for her for three reasons: 1) She doesn't have to put up with her mom and her stepdad for the next two months. She gets to be free and hang out with her laid back dad, whom she loves dearly. 2) She's got new friends at her dad's that she's been slowly getting to know, and now she gets to spend time with them. 3) Drew Tompkins. As the summer progresses, their mutual feelings towards each other quickly blooms into a perfect summer romance. But then, the school year rolls around again. Faye has to go back to school in L.A., while Drew and the others must stay in Orange County. That means that Faye won't be coming around as often anymore, if at most once or twice a month. That means she won't see Drew anymore, or any of the others for that matter. Will Faye and Drew's love survive the distance and the months between, or will they become another typical summer love, here one minute and gone the next? Can the strong friendships Faye has formed with him and the others survive? Or does the month of September bring about the end to more than just the summer?
More to come!
