Author has written 7 stories for Fantasy, Biography, General, Romance, Sci-Fi, Play, and Young Adult. "The best procrastinating caffeine-addicted wannabe-writer insomniac the world has ever seen." I'm an aspiring writer (as obvious by my presence here on FictionPress). Unfortunately, I am a tad bit slow, am always envious of others, and am quite prone to despairing; but that's not my fault. The world is just too monotonously strange and parents gives birth to waaay too many talented kids. Stop, overpopulation! Stop!! But truly, I'm never satisfied with myself. Yet, as a fourteen-years old Bostonian, I think I have a right to set my sights on NYU and Harvard, don't you? I may be as ambitious as hell, but so is everybody. "Dream as wildly as your imagination allows; for without dreams, there is no reality." As far as I'M concern: Philip Pullman is the master of fantasy; Sarah Dessen mistress of teen fiction; Ai Yazawa goddess of art, edgy fashion, hot guys, manga... basically being awesome in general; and Harper Lee just rocks. Yet I often find myself filled with the murderous intent to to throw all these precious masterpieces down the gutter. They make me feel depressed about my own work. Heck, I feel that way about my peers' work. (see above) But that's why I'm still writing. As a proud individual, I refuse to have people beat me! ... Of course, with my procrastinating personality (see below), I get sidetracked a lot. But I always get back on the track after awhile. xD "While the rabbit sprinted on ahead with all the bubbling eagerness associated with her species, the turtle wobbled along. At noontime, however, the turtle refused to relent to his desire to sleep; and so he won, while the rabbit still slept in her little rabbit hole on the wayside." To this day I still don't know which one I am... But I'm a teenager. I've got lots of time. Don't judge! And, before I am done... REVIEW! Whether you like it or not, just DON'T FORGET to drop a review. It helps me so much on my path of enlightenment. But more importantly, it means more to me than you could ever imagine. It helps this (part-time) rabbit stick to the race. (Below are simply rants / notes on my works. Scroll farther down for their summaries). In-Progress A Phoenix's Rise (formerly titled Fire) Update Schedule: Every 2 weeks... or so. Special thanks to Sercus Kaynine for being an awesome beta. Illustration of chapter 1 by Nonlinear (thank you!) is awesome. Check it out! Short Stories "An Immigrant's Christmas" An older version is published under the same name at Teen Ink Raw in the Nonfiction section. "The Courtyard Musician" Inspired by the subway musicians I often see returning home. "Coincidental Fate" A light romance, again with a subway musician. What can I say? They're inspirational. This will not be continued, "Evolution" This was written with Night by Eli Wiesel and Anne Frank's Diary in mind. Read these books before you die. Point blank. Plays "The Murder Masquerade" Apologies for the formatting. FP makes publishing screenplays correctly hard. Youtube video will be up when I get a copy of our 'movie'. AM ON HIATUS. PLEASE BE PATIENT AS MY LIFE WINDS DOWN AND I CAN GET NEW STUFF (PARTICULARLY PHOENIX'S RISE) UP TO ITS SCHEDULE AGAIN. | |||||||||
