Parchment Quill

The one-and-only-you'll-never-find-another-like-me-ever Parchment Quill

What is up with the name you ask? Well, I honestly don't know. It is a very animal-oriented name. Odd, huh?

Parchment: a creamy or yellowish material made from dried and treated sheepskin, goatskin, or other animal hide, used in former times for books and documents

Quill: an old-fashioned pen made from the shaft of a feather

About ME:

So, what can I say about myself? Well, here are some random facts that no one really cares about:

Age: 15

Gender: Male.

Sexual Orientation: Gay, not stragiht, and not bi either. That means: I like boys! and not girls! Well, I like girls, I mean, I have friends that are girls, I just do not like girls. Why would I? Guys are much hotter.

Location: Canada.

Status...?: Single. I know. Hard to believe, right? I guess it is better than dating a girl I don't even like.

Closet Status: Still in this stupid closet. Getting tired of it. Sucks not having a boyfriend... but even if I was out, it wouldn't actually change anything. Small town.

Religion...: I guess I am atheist. I do not necessarily think there is no God, I just do not believe in any God. Therefore, no religion for me.

Interests/Hobbies/Skills: Reading, and writing (obviously), watching TV (who does not like TV?), and playing video games. That's all, seriously. I know. Pathetic.

What I Write: Romance (slash), Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and poetry as well. My romance sucks, but I like my poems and fantasy stories.

What I Read: Romance (slash), Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and some poetry.

I think that's enough information for now, don't you?

My Writing:

(Like this is necessary, I am only doing it because everyone else does)

All Poems: Nothing really to say about them. I write them mostly when I am depressed. Most likely they are about guys I have, or had, crushes on. coughs I can't help it.

100: In a moment of pure madness, I wrote this thing. Who knew I could be so evil? Well... if you are in the mood to read about a killing spree, with a slight plot, and an odd, but hopeless, character, then read 100.

Ben: Wow, um... Well, this is my favorite story, that I have written. It's not written too well, and lacks a lot, but it is full of emotion. And a lot of that emotion is pain. Half-true story in fact. There is a guy named Ben. That is all you need to know.

Of Headlights and Seduction: Meh. Not that great really. Just a little slashy story. Not much to it. Very little to say about it.

Holding On: Longest story that I have posted on this site. Again, not too great. I am not happy with it and don't like it; it hasn't gotten many reviews either...

Check them out. Please. And, if you do, please review, even if you really hate it. Tell me if you do.

There are many more, I just haven't posted them on this site.

Coming Soon: (I hope)

Intolerance: Nothing comes without consequence. When tragedy strikes Hunter's boyfriend, Hail, it is he who knows this better than any. Hatred has its consequences, those which are more dangerous than the hatred itself.

This is all that I have written this summer, and I am really excited about it. I am not really sure if it is any good, but I think that it is one of the deepest things I have ever written. It is pretty short, 2, 000 words right now, and it will not be getting much longer. If I ever finish it, then please read and review it.

QUOTES:

(I love these things)

I know that you won't read them all, if you read any, but they are so awesome I just had to put them here.

In no particular order. In fact, the last one is my favorite.

"I prithee send me back my heart,
Since I cannot have thine;
For if from yours you will not part,
Why, then, shouldst thou have mine?"
~John Suckling

"A bell is no bell 'til you ring it,
A song is no song 'til you sing it,
And love in your heart
Wasn’t put there to stay -
Love isn’t love
'Til you give it away."
~Oscar Hammerstein

"Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." ~Henry Van Dyke

"Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense." ~Mark Overby

"I ran up the door, opened the stairs,
said my pyjamas and put on my prayers -
turned off my bed, tumbled into my light,
and all because he kissed me good-night!"
~Author Unknown

"True love is when you put someone on a pedestal, and they fall - but you are there to catch them." ~Author Unknown

"The heart has its reasons that reason knows nothing of." ~Blaise Pascal

“Every dreamer pays a price. But so does everyone who fears to dream.” ~ Holly Lisle

“Let's love, not hurt. Let's understand, not judge. Let's accept we have differences, but we are essentially the same; human beings.” ~SakuraSohma

"The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing." ~John Powell

"Being an author is like being in charge of your own personal insane asylum." ~Graycie Harmon

“An original writer is not one who imitates nobody, but one whom nobody can imitate.” ~Chateaubriand

“The most beautiful things are those that madness prompts and reason writes.” ~André Gide

"The two most engaging powers of an author are to make new things familiar and familiar things new." ~Samuel Johnson

“A sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage.” ~Nintendo

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." ~Dr. Seuss

"When I was in the military they gave me a medal for killing two men and a discharge for loving one." ~Leonard P. Matlovich

"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision." ~Lynn Lavner

"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" ~Ernest Gaines

"You could move." ~Abigail Van Buren, "Dear Abby," in response to a reader who complained that a gay couple was moving in across the street and wanted to know what he could do to improve the quality of the neighbourhood

"War. Rape. Murder. Poverty. Equal rights for gays. Guess which one the Southern Baptist Convention is protesting?" ~The Value of Families

"Jesse Helms and Newt Gingrich were shaking hands congratulating themselves on the introduction of an antigay bill in Congress. If it passes, they won't be able to shake hands, because it will then be illegal for a prick to touch an asshole." ~Judy Carter

"I get sick of listening to straight people complain about, "Well, hey, we don't have a heterosexual-pride day, why do you need a gay-pride day?" I remember when I was a kid I'd always ask my mom: "Why don't we have a Kid's Day? We have a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, but why don't we have a Kid's Day?" My mom would always say, "Every day is Kid's Day." To all those heterosexuals that bitch about gay pride, I say the same thing: Every day is heterosexual-pride day! Can't you people enjoy your banquet and not piss on those of us enjoying our crumbs over here in the corner?" ~Rob Nash

"Labels are for filing. Labels are for clothing. Labels are not for people." ~Martina Navratilova

"An engineering professor is treating her husband, a loan officer, to dinner for finally giving in to her pleas to shave off the scraggly beard he grew on vacation. His favorite restaurant is a casual place where they both feel comfortable in slacks and cotton/polyester-blend golf shirts. But, as always, she wears the gold and pearl pendant he gave her the day her divorce decree was final. They're laughing over their menus because they know he always ends up diving into a giant plate of ribs but she won't be talked into anything more fattening than shrimp.
Quiz: How many biblical prohibitions are they violating? Well, wives are supposed to be 'submissive' to their husbands (I Peter 3:1). And all women are forbidden to teach men (I Timothy 2:12), wear gold or pearls (I Timothy 2:9) or dress in clothing that 'pertains to a man' (Deuteronomy 22:5). Shellfish and pork are definitely out (Leviticus 11:7, 10) as are usury (Deuteronomy 23:19), shaving (Leviticus 19:27) and clothes of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19). And since the Bible rarely recognizes divorce, they're committing adultery, which carries the rather harsh penalty of death by stoning (Deuteronomy 22:22).
So why are they having such a good time? Probably because they wouldn't think of worrying about rules that seem absurd, anachronistic or - at best - unrealistic. Yet this same modern-day couple could easily be among the millions of Americans who never hesitate to lean on the Bible to justify their own anti-gay attitudes." ~Deb Price, And Say Hi To Joyce

Here is something that I found on another person's profile:

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

Put this in your profile too, if you are against homophobia.
