Books: Being an english major has almost completely killed my like of reading. I will only read a) when I have time b) if it is really interesting. I like mangas though, especially fushigi yugi genbu kaiden. And of course I read my fellow writers' work.

Writings: I started my first story on this site called, Even If. Basically, it is a coming of age story about a 15 year old named Riame who is at the center of the prophecy of her village. Aided by her two best friends, Teski and Kei, Riame must discover the secrets surrounding her pendant and protect her village and ultimately the world from "a certain disaster."

Main Character Bios: (More to come)

Riame Takara- The heroine of our story. She is 15 years old at the beginning of the story. In Japanese, her last name Takara means, “treasure.” Also Ame or Ami is a base in Latin meaning friendship. In general she is shy, self-conscious and keeps much to herself due to her own feelings of inferiority to others. She often tries to please others, even to the point of ignoring her own feelings. But she also has a strong sense of duty, obligation, and inner strength. She has a strong belief in the bond with her friends Teski and Keiko, valuing their friendship more than anything else. Her relationship with Teski is very ambiguous, bordering at times from extreme admiration to a bit of a crush.

Appearance: brown chestnut hair to her shoulders, light brown eyes, slim, height 5'4, weight 110 pounds, Outfit: Brown Skirt Pants with a beigish/ white top (like a peasant shirt) slippers

Teski Giri- 18 years old. The word “Giri” in Japanese means “slash” or “cut” His personality is more serious and somber than the other two. He is dedicated to his work and a skilled fighter. His main weapon is his Chiyo sword with a unique element, which is characteristic of the Giri clan, his specialty: Giri Wind Strike in which he generates wind from his chiyo. He often struggles with distinguishing his actions between duty/obligation and feelings of the heart. However, he cares very deeply for both Riame and Keiko and would go through great lengths to protect them from harm.

Appearance: Black hair usually worn in a braid, tall and slim, black eyes, wears a traditional Giri clan garb (black and green outer garment (it looks like a robe), black pants with green trim) with black boots, Height 5'8-5'9

Keiko Hana- 16 years old. Keiko is in general a very sociable and outgoing person. Her first name in Japanese means, “Adored child.” She is very popular in the Megumi village mainly for her being extremely attractive. “Hana” in Japanese means, “flower,” referring of course to her love for flowers. Contrary to appearance, Keiko is actually a bright girl training in medicine. She is also fiercely loyal to Riame and will attack anyone who tries to put her down. She has an amusing relationship with Teski in which she flirts with him only to be turned down flatly by him. Furthermore, she is the only one of the three who does not have “natural” powers though she is proficient in bojutsu.

Appearance: Height 5'6, thick figure (but not overly large), ample chest, Jet black hair and eyes, weight Outfit: short pants: olive green with pink sakura blossoms on the side, black sleeveless top with v-cut, black shoes

How I integrate Christianity into my writings:

Wow, this is a mouthful. I know christianity isn't pantheistic, but I can see a little bit of God in everything. Just because I don't go around putting the word God in my works (though I definately don't see anything wrong in doing so) doesn't make it any less Christian than anyone elses. My stories are more Christian themed if anything like self sacrificing love. I try to avoid cursing where possible. However if the situation merits, I might use mild execrations (hell, damn etc.) If this causes any one to stumble, I apologize.
