I do not believe in 'a review for a review'. You are perfectly welcome to ask me to read your story. I'll read it, with pleasure. But if I don't like it, I won't review. I REFUSE to waste my time reviewing something I have no interest in. That is not to say that your story has to be the best thing ever written for me to review. If I like the plot, the idea behind it, or even you as an author, I'll review and critique you.
But don't force me.
Just because you reviewed my fic does not automatically mean that I'll review yours. I don't agree with that policy, because I think it's insulting. It's degrading to me that you would review my story simply because I reviewed yours without getting any enjoyment from it, and I refuse to do the same to anyone else.
On another note, I'm not very eloquent. I tend to spit when I yell, and that sort of thing. And I get angry easily. I know this, it's just the way I am. I realise that I do bash heterosexuality, but only as a retalliation to all the bashers of homosexuality out there. I'm not a fangirl. I don't think everyone is gay, nor do I think they should be. But it pisses me the fuck off that they are still not equal in the eyes of society and they damn well should be.
If you have a problem with my writing, then so be it. I am not the best (or even a very good) writer. I'll be the first to admit this. But if you come to me complaining about the fact that I write about gay boys in a relationship, I will not hesistate to chew you up and spit you out. This does not mean I won't read your story if you write het, not at all. As long as there is no homophobia present, I don't mind a whit, so don't hesitate to ask on that account.
And for the love of god, don't review my story if you didn't like it. Seriously. I can live without an insincere review or two.
