UPDATE 05.11.08
I've been really busy lately, but I've have been able to get the framework down for my story. It's a little complicated as to how it will trangress, mainly becuase I've been working on how to start it. But it will include magic, fighting, romance, the occasional drama, and I will try to stay as normal (by that I mean, real-life normal) as possible. Hopefully everything will pan out.
UPDATE 04.24.08
I've taken a lot of thought into what type of story I want to one, hoping I would uncover some subconscious thought that would help me develop a better story. Plus, I saw a very insightful guide on Melissa Norvell's page on "Mary-Sue" characters. If helps to determine if you charcters are too run-of-the-mill, here's the link if anybody wants to use it:

Until my next update, I'll be brainstorming a new story.
I just had to add this on here in case I later forget. I just took the Mary Sue test for my main character (whose name hasn't be determined and he scored a 19, which falls under:
11-20 points: The Non-Sue. Your character is a well-developed, balanced person, and is almost certainly not a Mary Sue. Congratulations!
I'll develop more characters and do their Mary Sue tests later.
