Author has written 5 stories for Young Adult, Humor, and Romance.

Always wondered how a later chapter can have more visitors than an earlier one...

*NEWS: At some point I am going to publish Talking Birds as an e-book on Amazon. At that time, the story will be removed from fictionpress and I will provide a link to the e-book here. Thanks to everyone who read and a bigger thanks to those who reviewed and loved it _

ALERT: New story in progress. Feedback and criticism appreciated.

SUPER, MAYBE, I SUPPOSE, KINDA, ACTUALLY VERY IMPORTANT: I have renamed 'Things Aren't Going As I've Planned' to 'Talking Birds.' Once you read the story, you'll know why. I was going to name it 'Can You Hear the Birds?' until I heard Death Cab for Cutie's song 'Talking Bird' which I completely forgot I already own. I need to start pulling out my old CDs... On a side note, I am making a playlist for Talking Birds with songs that I think capture characters, important thoughts, or themes of the book well. I'll post a link when it's done.
ALSO: I have revised and edited Talking Birds for the (hopefully) final time (as of 7/10/12). If you read it before then and loved it, I suggest you read it again and see the new surprises! (any future changes will only deal with formatting...)

NOTICE: Hi. As usual, a story has gone incomplete. Yes, my oldest "romance" story. Sorry to those or you who were reading it. I'm still unsure whether or not I would like to continue it (especially with the new one in progress).

Hi. I'm Ren.

Feel free to contact me.

I like input and reviews. I can take criticism. In fact, I guarantee I'm more critical of myself than you could possibly be of me.

If you ever need help with a story, character, or plot, you can ask me for an opinion. I'll help and I won't even make you read my stories like some other writers do. If I can't write a decent story, I can at least fix sentence structure and grammatical errors.

TALKING BIRDS (FORMERLY KNOWN AS 'THINGS AREN'T GOING AS I'VE PLANNED')

Facts about Natsu:
1. He is Korean, Japanese, and (white) American
2. His birthday is April 1, 1990
3. He likes green tea and used to love sweets
4. He doesn't listen to music
5. He does not like men =P

Facts about the Story:
1. A lot of the V-words I got from Slovenian, Latin, and Romanian languages
3. The V-aspect wasn't my original intention. I just noticed a V craze.
2. Its plot fluctuated with my experiences
3. I have strange orders and random chapters and such. But the story will all make sense in the end, I promise
4. Nina's name used to be Misora, until I realized she wasn't Japanese. (How stupid of me.) She's Norwegian, actually, but that's very unimportant to the plot.
5. It took me 3 years to complete. It's the 4th/5th year and I'm working on housekeeping now.

TWO THREE, ONE SEVEN

UPDATE: I've kinda hit a rut idea-wise. Being insanely busy with school isn't helping either. I haven't gotten much feedback, so I'm even less motivated.

A romance story I am in the process of writing. I haven't written anything in a long time, so please give me feedback and criticism. Thanks!

IT'S NOT LOVE BUT IT'S A LOVE STORY:

UPDATE: On Hiatus

Chapter titles: Questions = mainly Karina's POV, Statements = mainly James' POV. When it is equal parts POV, it will be random. Pay close attention to date headings, because chapters are not always in chronological order (though chapters dealing with the same month are). Italicized entries are flashbacks. Female main character's name was Valeria and I changed it to Karina. Tell me if you see any "Valeria"s and I will fix it. (Yeah, I know you're thinking about the Misora issue in Talking Birds; I take naming my characters seriously and am finicky about them.)

COMPULSIVE LYING:

I will add the other scene I've written eventually. There were only 4, including the ones I have up now. And I don't intend on making it 5 or anything higher. I will eventually type up the last scene and upload it.

A NONFICTIONAL STORY OF A FICTIONAL LIFE:

Other chapters coming up as soon as I am compelled to create them.

OTHER STORIES:

None.

My username is RenEtAl, because my stories are done by me (Ren), and others (et al). It's basically an ode to all the people who inspired my characters, inspired lines, gave me input, and encouraged me (Andy, I love you!). But Talking Birds is a literal case of 'et al' where the lines spoken by Dawn were written by someone I used to know.

They say age is nothing but a number. When Sati and Nolan meet there's a storybook-like spark. But as time goes on, how much closer will Nolan let them grow before he admits that he is six years younger? How much risk is involved, how much pain is there, and how many worries exist when age is just a number? Dual Point of View; Please give feedback
