Background:
Hello fellow Profile Junkies! Welcome to my freakishly long profile. I bet you have probably heard this all before, but I've dreamed of writing my entire life. Ever since I was a little girl (Isn't that just the greatest and most original pick-up line eh? A bit too cliche) I would write day and night, rain or shine, constantly trying to fit two and two together to make four. Well, sadly, about a year or two ago, I gave up on 'four' and left the pieces behind. When i gave up writing, it was from aggravation and frustration. The more and more I read books, the more and more jealous I became. I used to curse my inability to write like some, to be able to weave a story so grand it would capture you the moment you read the first word. I just didn't get it; that you got that greatness from practice. Being the impatient young girl i was, i developed a hatred for literature. It was only a few moths ago that i discovered that i could be great, i just need to build on it. So i started from scratch...well, not completely...
My Interests:
Well, as depicted above, i used to despise literature and writing alike with a passion, but while i was avoiding the inevitable, i got wound up with my social life (or what little of it i had at the time) and my friends. I enjoy talking on the phone (and in my mind having sleep-overs over the phone is just fine...you just don't get a lot of sleeping done though) and dancing. Dancing is probably my favorite non-school related activity i do. I don't care if it's ballet, jazz,tap,bolero,square dancing,hip-hop,etc, i will do it all!Cooking and drawing have also been my strong points over the years...
And now, i have gotten back into the writing mojo. It is my biggest interest at the moment.
My Dislikes:
Don't even get me started...
I really am a laid back kind of person, but some things i just can't stand. Cheating, for example, I've always hated it all my life. Back-stabbers, liars, any kind of scum like that just sickens me. By the way, i also can't stand it when somebody scratches their nails on a chalk board...
My Style:
I'm not sure how different styles writing compare, but i believe that they never are the same. What I usually do is write a fragment of what i want my story to be based on. Leave it for a few days then come back to it. When i once-over it, i decide if i can build off of it. If i can't, well, it goes bye-bye, but if I can use it i edit it and add details etc...
Like a lot of young authors I have spoken to, they get discouraged easily, but I am past that now. You get to a point where you don't care what others think and you just write. It's really quite a nice feeling to, especially when one thing just clicks with another. The story is planned but there are little things in between that just add charm and humor. Romance and Action are the genres that I write in most of the time. Poetry is nice too, but I find it too short to make it into something worth-while. I love to read other people's stories and poems, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it can be hard because even if you don't realize it, you may be incorporating others ideas into your work.Well, im done with my little rant, feel free to PM me if you have any questions or comments, and I would love it if you checked out my stories. Beta Readers:
I haven't put much thought into seeking a beta reader, but I think I would benefit from attaining one. I don't have the time to go looking for one and veiwing profile after profile so I have two options: A) Watch my writing VERY carefully or B) Get a Beta Reader. If you are interested, please just put your canadacy in a reveiw, my private messaging isn't working at the moment. Unlike the Beta Reader standards, you DO NOT have to have been here a moth or have released a publication of over 6000 words. I believe that if you have a sharp eye, you could help me out.
