Author has written 11 stories for Essay, Song, Life, Love, General, Supernatural, and Young Adult. My name is Jessica. Writing is my anti-drug. But more seriously, I have been writing for some time now, mostly my efforts go into fanfiction, some original works, and whatever poems I feel are necessary to write at the time. Usually I get pretty full of angst in my work, that's life, and I can't really control it. Wouldn't the readers prefer it if I wrote about something I can relate to, instead of imitating the life of a Mary Sue? I would tend to think so. Anyway, reviews are my kryptonite in a good way, like feeling weak at the knees with butterflies in your stomach, so please hook me up, if you think it's worth the effort. If you like what I write or if you don't, please click on over to my collaborator's page Penname: Vespertine Noir (http://www.fictionpress.com/u/636899/) and show her some support. She's been there every step of the way to help me in a literary fashion, whether it is critique or brainstorming sessions or whatever I need. And she is a far better writer than I. I thought I would try my hand at it, so this is the posting of my submission to NaNoWriMo, it may take longer than a month to write, unfortunately, but it is a metaphorical "jump-start", if you will. It's about a new writer attempting to overcome her obstacles, both in writing and in life, to make a better life for herself. I will probably write a new novel for the challenge this November. Contorted Reality is a new story, an expression of freedom of choice. When people ask you what you want to be when you grow up, and you say you want to be a circus performer, it is generally received as a juvenile fantasy, a phase that will ultimately pass. But it hasn't for me. I want to be a contortionist. This is my burden, my choice, my journey. The Earthbound Two chapters thus far, as of the 24th of June. It is a story that will likely follow three sets of characters, as they undergo the Apocalypse, and how they handle the situation. Supernatural forces determine whether or not humans are worthy of continued existence. Story still in its infancy, however, it will be a little more substantial, as far as length, on the next post. Excuse the oversimplification of the plot, I assure that it will be much more dramatic than what I can sum up in a few sentences. Will be updated more regularly now that the editing dilemmas have been worked out. Coming Soon: As of yet untitled fiction dealing with a girl's depression and recovery after an insane bus accident threatens to ruin what life she has left, and take away all that she holds close to her heart. In progress with the first chapter. So it should be posted in the next few weeks, if I can get just a little more inspiration to write every day. Another untitled work which will probably end up covering all of the random thoughts that sometimes pass for intelligence in my head. I see a lot of journals up here and it would be refreshing to join those ranks with one of my own, not to mention how it would help unclutter my head of unnecessary bullshit so I can actually finish writing some things. : End train of thought; last stop, all must depart at the station : A/N: Read and Review, if you have a soul. | |||||||||
