Muses?

I attempt to write in my own style. But I'm heavily influenced by Libba Bray, L.A. Meyer, Tamora Pierce, and Philip Pullman. All excellent. I recommend them to most people. I also recommend the manga comic 'Queen Bee', by Chynna Clugston. It's a cliche teen high school story with a lovely little twist. Highly amusing.

Warning to everyone - I'm the kind of writer who doesn't do roughdrafts and chapter layouts or whatever. I just take my characters, chuck em into a story, and go. Because I believe that a truly good story writes itself. The only thing I plan out are all the minor characters. To ensure that no one has the same name.

Inspired?

By everything. I have hundreds of random scenes written down that have no stories whatsoever. But that's just me.

Update!

August 28th, 2007 - 12:07 PM - I am writing. It's hard going. I hope you all pity me and send me chocolate. I have my stories laid out, I have the house to myself, I have my characters picked, I have nothing else to do. However, just two seconds ago, the fates conspired to force me to have a sudden urge to do all my chores. And clean my room. And shit. So now I'm in an uncomfortably spotless room trying to be creative. Try it yourself, and tell me how it works out.
