Hello...to everyone and anyone who's reading this!
If you've read anything I wrote...I hope you liked it. Just to tell you a little bit about myself, my name's Autumn and I go to the Health Sciences Academy at Bayside High School (REPRESENT!!!). I'm part of the crazy class of 2010.
To clear up some typical assumptions about the academy:
-The academy is what some call "a school within a school". In my case, it's a public high school. All of our non-elective classes (history, science, math, and english) and lunch are taken with only academy students and have the health sciences tied into them. Electives and P.E. are taken with regular and academy students.
-Because I'm in an academy doesn't mean that everyone is smart. I think I may be...reasonably. It's hilarious when we have substitutes who say, "Wow, you guys are in the Health Sciences Academy! You must be really smart!" My typical response is, "Ha! Some of us are...!"
-The Health Sciences Academy also wouldn't be complete without completely immature people as well! It's really sad though; if we were given a test on maturity, most of the people that are here now wouldn't be here.
Anyways, here are some things about me:
- I love my friends and family! My absolute best friends are Kiran, Lil' Nins, Tempo, and Greg (I used their nicknames to somewhat protect their identity...well...the last one's pretty obvious...oh well, no one wants to stalk him anyways...JK!).
The only reason I like writing as much as I do is because of my fifth grade teacher, Ms. Ray, and my eighth grade teacher, Mrs. Downs. They're the best!!! (I've also gotta give some props to my current English teacher, Mrs. Schwartz. She's awesome!)
My favorite authors are Stephenie Meyer (the Twilight series), Libba Bray (the A Great And Terrible Beauty series), and Jodi Picoult.
Some of my favorite books are Escape From Memory, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, A Great And Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, The Pact, The Tenth Circle, Nineteen Minutes, My Sister's Keeper, Vanishing Acts, Perfect Match, and Anthem (by Ayn Rand). I try to read whenever I get the chance...literally. That sometimes means me trying to find a purse that my latest read will fit in. (I've been seen reading 600-page-plus novels inside of malls and restraunts...I know; I'm terrible.)
I also love the plays, Romeo & Juliet (by William Shakespeare) and Oedipus Rex (by Sophocles).
FYI, if you've read The Tenth Circle or My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, they're being made into movies!!! So are Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray!!!
Most of my friends think I'm weird for crushing on fictional characters. YOU HAVE TO READ TO UNDERSTAND!!! Plenty of Twilight fans know what I'm talking about...cough cough... EDWARD CULLEN. Some A Great and Terrible Beauty fans know what I mean as well... cough cough... KARTIK.
Some of my favorite movies are Ladder 49 (that movie made me cry so much!), She's the Man (I love Channing Tatum), Tristan & Isolde (yes...James Franco), Hairspray (can't get enough of Zac Efron), Blood Diamond (a really serious and thought provoking movie), and Happy Feet (penguins are cute too...). Yeah, the last one was pretty random...
Besides reading, I love music. Singing to it, listening to it, and head banging to it. Not to be biased or anything, but rock is truly the best genre of music. I mostly listen to Christian music, but I do enjoy listening to some mainstream.
Some Christian bands and artists that rock are: BarlowGirl, Bethany Dillon, Britt Nicole, Casting Crowns, Falling Up, Group 1 Crew, Hawk Nelson, Inhabited, Jeremy Camp, Jessie Daniels, Joy Williams, Krystal Meyers, Kutless, Natalie Grant, Nichole Nordeman, Pillar, Plumb, Rebecca St. James, Relient K, Sanctus Real, Selah, Seventh Day Slumber, Skillet, Stacie Orrico, Superchick, and TheWedding (they've got the best live show ever).
Some Mainstream bands and artists that rock are: Avril Lavigne, Daughtry, Evanescence, Fall Out Boy, Flyleaf, Green Day, Jonas Brothers, Josh Groban, Kelly Clarkson, Lillix, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Paramore, Teddy Geiger, The Veronicas, and William Tell.
I've seen all of the artist's that are bolded LIVE!
Yeah...I'm a music fanatic; I listen to music everyday. I'd probably die without it, which would explain why music is the first thing my mom will take from me as punishment. You'd probably swear that the earbuds to my mp3 player were glued to my ears!
Well...that's all I can think of to write right now...it's really late and I don't even know if I should be doing this now.
Happy reading (and writing),
A. M. Bussuvanno
P.S.
If any of the material I write offends you in any way, I'm sorry about that, but I will not apologize for what I wrote.
I also have an account on FanFiction.net under the PenName: Fallen1992. I plan on writing more to post on that site when I have the time.
Check out my favorite authors and stories! "Why?", you ask...because they're awesome!
I LOVE TO SEE REVIEWS OF MY WORKS!!! IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG (AND IT WON'T KILL YOU...WELL...AS FAR AS I KNOW...) , SO PLEASE REVIEW!!! IT'S GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks!!!!!!!
Just a note for all of my readers: Many people assume that the narrator in the my poems are me, the author. THIS IS NOT TRUE! In some of my poems, I am the narrator, but in others I am not.
I recently realized that the poem titled "Nonexistent" has confused some of my readers (particularlly in the ending). Many readers were under the assumption that that main character was being raped in the end. She was not; she was being smothered. Rape would be considered an object of lust, which has nothing to do with the ending whatsoever. One of the themes in this poem is hate; that is what is being represented in the smothering of the main character.
