Author has written 7 stories for Romance, Humor, Love, and Family.

Proud American. Facebook page: Meredith Greene on the New York Network. Live Journal Blog: meredithgreene

Married to my soulmate; four beautiful children. I started writing poems and stories at 14 years old and have not stopped. I welcome criticism whether pro or con; honesty remains the very best platform from which to learn.

The following are more the more shallow bits of information folks seem to want to know; I shall place them here to prevent unnecessary emails..

Favorite Book: Yes, of course The Lord of the Rings, but I also equally like My Family and Other Animals, by Gerald Durell. (Anything he wrote is simply hilarious.) I also an partial to the entire Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs; it is rather hard to believe they were once considered children's literature, as was the Lord of the Rings, I might add. I adored reading Persuasion, and the movie is really well done. As far as movies go, I also like Chariots of Fire, The Rundown, Patton and Henry V.

Favorite poem: The Solitary Reaper, by William Wordsworth.

Favorite writing medium: composition notebooks; I carry them around with me everywhere. My man and I write together on a laptop; he likes to pace and toss out plot-lines, scenario and characters while I fill in description and tone.

Favorite Saying: I love to say "Deus ex machina!" wherever possible. (It's a theatre term about impossible plot devices. It also applies nicely at parties, when a thoughtful person saves you from being roped in by a self-congratulatory Polonius.)

Also, I highly enjoy referring to myself as the 'Persona non Grata'; I write it on those ridiclous name tags people give out at gatherings, meetings and parties. Always fun to be the social outcast.

Favorite Quote: Always do more than is required of you.” - General George S. Patton.

I also like "Choose your wife as you wish your children to be.", author unknown.

Favorite Music: Most classical, except Bach; I especially like Boccherini and Brahms, some works of The Cure, The Gimme Gimmes, The Cars, most all the songs of Silly Wizard, Boys from the Loch and most guitar renderings of classical music.

Writing: I love writing poetry but soon found no one likes to buy poetry, unless you are Shakespeare. (I am not.) I could not bring myself to sell it anyway. It is more of an outlet than a way of making money. I started writing comedy and historical fiction; they were not 'great' pieces of literature, though enjoyable and I recieved requests for a romance. To my chagrin, said story of the loving persuation received far more praise than it was due. sigh. I wanted more opinions of the stories I write than from people I know and love, and I found this incredible forum while googling 'fiction forum'. There so many talented authors here, it puts my works to shame. Nevertheless, please enjoy the pieces I post here. Any literary agents or publishers that read my works feel free to PM and query.

Please visit my website for more books, downloadable in PDF (no, not for free... but cheaper than buying a new paper book, and it does not waster paper.); they are updated periodically when I have something good to place there:

Also, you can download our books to your PDA, Palm, Blackberry or iPod using Mobipocket(dot)com. Just look in the Ebook 'Romance' category or Action/Adventure Category.

Here at the bottom of the page is a link (my 'favorite authors') to my man's bio and his book: The Road to the King, historical fiction with some romance (the second in the series has more romance in it), lots of sword-flinging, battling of pagan cannibals and mysterious cloaked kingsmen. Good times.
