Married to my soul mate--sixteen years--with four beautiful children. I started writing poems and stories at fourteen years old and have not stopped. I welcome criticism whether pro or con, for honesty remains the very best platform from which to learn.

The more professional bit: Book Reviewer for The San Francisco Book review & The Sacramento Book Review publications (yes, printed on real paper); I also write a weekly column titled 'Greene Ink'. belatorbooks(dot)com(slash)greenink

Favorite Books: The Lord of the Rings, but I also equally like My Family and Other Animals, by Gerald Durrell. (Anything he wrote is simply hilarious.) I also an partial to the entire Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs; it is rather hard to believe they were once considered children's literature, as was the Lord of the Rings, I might add. The Count of Monte Cristo is one of the best fiction novels ever penned, as well as The Legacy by Nevil Shute, and the various magazine serials by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I also adored reading Austen's Persuasion and favor the work of C. S. Forester.

Favorite poem: The Solitary Reaper, by William Wordsworth.

Favorite writing medium: composition notebooks; I carry them around with me everywhere. My man and I write together on a laptop; he likes to pace and toss out plot-lines, scenario and characters while I fill in description and tone.

Favorite Saying: I love to say "Deus ex machina!" wherever possible. (It's a theatre term about impossible plot devices.)

Favorite Quote: Always do more than is required of you.” - General George S. Patton, Jr.

Favorite Music: Most classical; I especially like Boccherini, Dvorak and Brahms; some works of The Cure, The Gimme Gimmes, The Cars, most all the songs of Silly Wizard, Boys from the Loch, a few songs of Flogging Molly and most classical guitar pieces; recently discovered the Vitamin String Quartet... artists extraordinaire.

Writing: I love writing poetry but soon found no one likes to buy poetry, unless you are Shakespeare. (I am not.) I could not bring myself to sell it anyway. It is more of an outlet than a way of making money. I started writing comedy and historical fiction; they were not 'great' pieces of literature, though enjoyable and I received requests for a romance. To my chagrin, said story of the loving persuasion received far more praise than it was due. sigh. I wanted more opinions of the stories I write than from people I know and love, and I found this incredible forum while googling 'fiction forum'. There so many talented authors here, some such as put my works to shame. Nevertheless, please enjoy the pieces I post here. I both read and respond to reviews/remarks/suggestions when I have time.

Please visit my website for more books, downloadable in PDF and some in ePUB (no, not for free... but cheaper than buying a new paper book, and it doesn't waste paper.) The titles thereon are updated periodically when I have something good to place there:

Here at the bottom of the page is a link (my 'favorite authors') to my man's bio and his book: The Road to the King, historical fiction with some romance (the second in the series has more romance in it), lots of sword-flinging, battling of pagan cannibals and mysterious cloaked kingsmen. Good times.
