I don't even know how to begin. I've come a long way with writing. Of course, I'm far from being anything close to extrodinary with anything I've created, but then again, I'm only seventeen. I see writing as more than a hobby -- it's more like a passion for me. I hope to pursue a job in writing, like journalism, and become a magazine editor or maybe write a book or two.
I love to read. It comes practically hand-in-hand with writing. I won't get into it, like describing some of my favorite books and whatnot, but you know when you pick up a book, one you've been having a desire to read, whether it's because you heard it was good or a friend made a comment about it that intriuged you? You start at the beginning, turning the pages and gradually getting yourself lost in it, to the point where your surroundings melt away into the world of your dearly book. You get so into it that you react with parts in a book, getting frustrated because there is that certain conflict between the two lovers that are getting in the way of being together, laughing out loud at a silly but well-thought of remark, feeling your heart tug with sadness when a character's life abruptly comes to an end. When an author can do that to you, I think that's so amazing. To put that much detail into it and heart and time so that your readers can get that into it, practically defines the meaning of effortless page-turning or keeping you on the edge of your seat. That's truly inspiring. I want to be that kind of author. I want to be that inspiration. That's my goal, and I hope to fufill it someday.
My name on here is my penname, for now at least, but who knows. You might know me later as one of the greatest authors of all time. :)
I'd appreciate feedback on my work. I'll definitely return the favor. And if you want someone to read your work of writing, don't hesitate to ask me! Like I said, reading is one of my top LIST of things to do and although I might not get to it right away, I will read it and tell you what I thought. Promise. :)
I'm kind of obsessed with quotes. So, here are a few.
"What you do in life echoes in eternity." - from the spectacular movie GLADIATOR.
"The difference between physical attraction and love is the ability to see the same person at their best and at their worst, still wanting and needing them the same as before."
allie: now say you're a bird too.
noah: if you're a bird, i'm a bird.
