Working hard on the last chapter of Sympathy for the Zombie. Bittersweet. Will post as soon as humanly possible.

About Aleksy the Flying Onion...

That's me!

I'm 18. A college student. A She-creature. Pretty tall. In love with my car (1976 Plymouth Valiant AKA Bruce! haha!). I'm going to school for an English degree, (hopefully) minoring in Library Sciences. I'm basically obsessed with books. Reading and writing is more than a hobby to me; it's a big part of my life, and will continue to be. I love basically every genre, but tend to stay away from Romance and Mystery. Not to say I don't work those themes into my stories, though. I'm big into Fantasy, Supernatural, and Sci-Fi. That's generally the categories I post in, too, as well as lurk around in. (Shameless plug: Check out my favorites sections! :D)

I don't tend to watch a lot of television, but when I do it's to catch up on: Supernatural, Fringe, Demons, or...What Not to Wear.

I sing and play guitar, but not in public. I mostly just mess around with friends and family, because I know if I ever do try music seriously I'll prolly just rip off Cat Power and embarrass myself. =0 Favorite bands are Cat Power, Sigur Ros, Muse, The Antlers, Iron and Wine, Oasis, Interpol. Yeah. Indie is gooooood. :)

Reading a lot of Jack Williamson right now, which is kind of inspiring me to try my hand at more science fiction. So some stories in that vein might be popping up sometime soon. My all time favorite novel is Crime and Punishment. Yeah, I know, kind of typical choice, but it really hit me hard when I read it--lodged in my brain and stuck there. Favorite author though, is Neil Gaiman right now. I love his whole body of work. Try American Gods or Neverwhere if you're looking for something to read.

My stories are pretty self-explanatory. Sympathy for the Zombie is what I'm focusing on right now, and it's very nearly finished. I've got the rest of it mapped out, just need to find the time to write it all down. Also, I'm thinking of a sequel! I know, I even finished this one yet, but I've got some ideas floating around in the o'le gray matter, so here's to hoping.

The rest of the stories are either one-shots, or on hiatus. Rest assured, new material is going to start trickling in, so there will be more to peruse.

Also, I return reviews! So have a look at my stories, and tell me what you think! I'll be sure to reciprocate. :)

Loooove,

Aleksy
