General Announcement: I'm sorry, but I won't have a Sympathy for the Zombie update ready for tomorrow, May 8th. D: FORGIVE ME! Once the craziness of the tail end of the school year is finally through, I should be able to skip back to the weekly updates, as opposed to the biweekly schedule I seem to be following. If I'm able I'll try to crank a chapter out this weekend, but no promises.
Breif Bio: I'm Aleksy...or, coughAlliecough. Junior in highschool, with a penchance for random and/or highly inappropriate humor. I was actually inspired by the video game Tales of Symphonia to start writing, because I was so devasted that there WAS an ending to that game that I just HAD to continue it. My fanfiction (which will never see the internet due to astronomical levels of bad grammar and cheesy romance) spurt ended pretty quickly, and the birth of original work began. I love to slip into different styles as often as possible, so don't worry, I'm not schizophrenic. It might just seem that way. ;D
I would like to recommend reading pretty much every story in my favorites, or by any of the authors I've favorited. They are extremely talented, funny, and quirky people. To not read there work would be highly offensive. If you don't, I hope you get a pimple.
Reviews and shtuff.
I want to make a declaration about reviews. I always, always try my hardest to return a review. I understand that supporting my fellow writers is an integral part of the fiction press community. Most of my reviews will contain constructive pointers. I like to try and digest a story as much as I can before reviewing, and that obviously takes a lot of time. Please, refrain from fretting if I don't review every single chapter in your story. I do, um, kind of have a life?
Secondly, I don't expect people to review. Sure, it makes my pants a really happy place when I read a review, but I'm not going to harp and moan about not getting any either in general or in response. Chances are I decided to review a story because it was interesting to me.
So, if you do review, even if it's just a little encouragement, I will grant you passage to heaven. No lie!
Stories and Shtuff.
Sympathy for the Zombie: Lillian lives during a strange time. Diamond Province, a quarantined section of the country, is infested with zombies. The presiding government pays mercenaries to exterminate those pesky undead. What better line of work for a clumsy, uncoordinated eighteen-year-old right out of high school? Joining her is the morose, lanky young Aidan who is armed with enough artillery to outfit an army and Ralphy, the naive medical student sans finger. Rated teen for scathing punch lines and teenage loooooooove.
Length: Over 30,000 words so far! Many more to go!
Rating: PG 13. There is violence (Hello. Zombies!), quite a bit of swearing, a little angst, and probably some romance at some point; there is no procreating in my stories! I despise smut. So I'm sorry if you were hoping for some hot'n'sweaty shtuff between whoever.
Updates: This story is generally updated on a weekly schedule on Thursdays. However, due to my CRAPPY amounts of school related things it's been pushed back to biweekly. Me sorry. D:
Notes: This is my baby at the moment. I hope lots of people read it! I took a little breaky break, and upon my return I've really hunkered down and tightened up the prose, plot, and characters. There is a summary up to chapter 17 posted on chapter 18, if anyone wants to jump in up to that point. Lazy! Tsk tsk.
Under the Influence: is an experiment in cynicism. When I feel a bout of pessimism or a blanket of doom settling upon me, which often comes about because of this crazy world, I'll whip up a chapter. Writing style is erratic, choppy, and all over the place. I especially like this story, so give it a look see, eh?
Length: These are very short spurts of writing at a time, but collectively the story is just over 3,000 words!
Rating: PG 13. Nothing too disturbing/sexual, as I dislike reading gratuitously nasty things. (For example, I love Chuck Palahniuk, but I could not stand Haunted! So gross.)
Updates: When I feel bad. haha. This one depends on mood, really. Send me mean emails and you might see that I've added a chapter. :D
Notes: These are little flashes of thought processes. It's dramatic, gritty, and bizarre. Each chapter is short; it's easy to get in and get out, but I hope you take a little something with you when you leave.
Harsh Scenes of Different Stars: Is on hiatus! I'm thinking about deleting it to be perfectly honest. For right now though it can sit and taunt me. XO
P.S I LOVE ALL OF YOU!
