Hi, I'm Kyle and I'm glad you cared enough to actually look at my profile.
I'm just a teenager in high school who loves to write. Sadly, being in high school, I can't write anywhere near as much as I want to. Still, I work hard on the things I write, and have a few stories I'm working on right now. I mostly enjoy writing more surreal stories, like fantasy or sci-fi. Writing's just a hobby of mine. I love doing it.
Reviews are what make writers better at what they do, and its always great to know that people care enough to say something, even if it isn't happy news. The only thing I ask about the reviews is be constructive, not destructive.
If you couldn't tell just by my collection of attempted novels pilling up, I'm a very impatient person, and I have too much in one head to go around. I start one story, plot it out, and then a brand new story pops into my head. I can't forget that one, so I start it, plot it out, and yet another new story shows up. I've only finished one story in my entire life, and there's no way I'm showing that horrible hunk-o-junk to people. So if you like my one of my stories... sorry if I stopped writing it. I always come back to them eventually, when I hit a dry spot, so never give up hope. And just try reading a new story of mine. I hope you'll like it just as much. So for all my Children fans out there, woops.
I hate senior year. I wrote the first chapter of the story "The Path of Ruin" for a break from the endless drudge of school, but it didn't help. I just want to write. I think the story can go somewhere, which I loosely have in mind. Also, oddly enough, during the summer I decided to try and write the first chapter of "The Legendian Chronicles." I tried writing that same chapter seven times. I hate my inner editor. He always makes me feel like crap. I'm not sure if I want to keep trying it. I still don't think I'm ready.
One day I may plan on releasing my labor of love "The Legendian Chronicles," but that's only if I feel my writing skills have gotten good enough that I can tell my story in the way it should be said. In other words, everything else I write is just practice. It'll be my Magnum Opus, my epic. If I ever get around to feeling confident enough, and actually write "Legendian," read it. Let me guarantee you that it'll be worth the wait.
Also, for those who don't seem to notice!!Read City of the Last Angels!!
It's worth the time to read, because I think it has its own voice, more-so than any other story I've written. Besides, I think Marcus is getting lonely, believe it or not.
UPDATE!!
For those who've noticed, I've been updating my story The Path of Ruin almost daily. I think it's turning out pretty good, and the chapters are all pretty short, so you aren't committing yourself for a long read. Trust me, read it. It's good, and getting even better. You'll want to watch out for this one.
