Hey there. My name is Amy-Marie, but most everyone calls me Aim. I am 17 and about to go into my senior year of high school. I would say that it feels kind of weird that I'm going to be a senior, but that's not really how I feel. I'm feeling more of...relief, if anything.
I love to write, and it's been something I've always just kind of done. I usually like to write my stories on some level of fantasy, but the only story I have on here isn't my norm. The story I have on here was inspired by something real and something that meant a lot to me.
Anyway, I think I'll put up some of my favorite things again, just for the heck of it:
My favorite drink: Cranberry juice
My favorite kind of music: While I listen to a lot of rock (alternative, metal, mainstream, indie, underground) it isn't the only thing I listen to. I also like George Winston (he's a pianist). Maybe that's because I used to play the piano myself, but I can't really say for sure. I also like the blues. My mom is really big on the latter and I guess it just kind of grew on me. Most of the people I know listen to Hip Hop and Rap, and I used to be big on that, but somehow I morphed into a black-on-black wearing rocker girl. And while I respect the people who listen to that kind of music, I can't say that I want to go back to that. I was hit with self discovery and all of that.
Hobbies: Drawing (I like to sketch faces. I've been thinking about skteching out one of my characters, but I'm not sure if I want to do that yet), playing my guitar, writing, reading (I'm a total bookworm without the stereotypical glasses and mousy appearance).
Movies: Tim Burton films rock my socks (did I seriously just write that?). I heart The Nightmare Before Christmas (although he technically didn't direct this one because he was working on other projects at the time. He came up with the idea and produced it, though) and Edward Siccorhands. I wanted to see his version of Sweeney Todd, but it never came to my theater. I was mad. In fact, I still am. Corpse Bride was a good movie, too (Tim Burton does fabulous collaborations with Johnny Depp, heehee). I could ramble on about this for a long time, so I'll just leave it for now.
Local/regional/underground bands I like: The Rise Inside, Neocracy, Blushing Well, Ripped Off Face, F-5 Righteous.
Other bands that I have currently been listening to (I have CDs scattered all over my room even though I usually just listen to my mp3 player): Once Nothing, From First to Last, The Myriad, The Devil Wears Prada, My Chemical Romance, Aiden, and Escape the Fate
I have a job and that can keep me pretty busy. I am also going to go down to visit my dad over the summer, and go to see my best friend who lives near Ocean City. Plus I have a two-inch thick SAT study guide book that I have to complete over break. Fun, fun.
I'll stop rambling now. I tend to do that a lot, but most of you probably already know that.
