Pros: Hello, she's romance! BEST thing for a story's plotline.
Cons: A tendency to be a bit gooey.

Rain stops after a little while.' to which she replied, 'Not if you live in the sky.' to which I replied, 'If you live in the sky, you're above the clouds and therefore the rain.' to which she made no answer.)

Weight: Lighter than you would believe.

Wear: Flowing dress that's longer than her body made of five hundred four-centimetre-wide strips of blue silk. And slippers.
Pros: She's my favourite. She's always good because characters need to be sad at at least one point.
Cons: Can be depressed and not want to do anything.
Quote: It is raining. (To which I replied, 'Evelina used rain in her quote. you really shouldn't put it in yours.' to which she replied, 'However Evelina runs indoors when it rains while I stay out.' to which I agreed.)
Zerlinda

Weight: Never weighs herself. Just... doesn't care. I tried to get her to, but I couldn't catch her...

Wear: Skimpy cheerleader-looking dress for free movement. Trainers.
Pros: She has a sword.
Cons: She kind of... skewers my stuff a lot. At least she has a sword.

Height: 1.53 metres. You don't know how long it took me to get her to stay still long enough to measure her.
Weight: She's a lot like Zerlinda in many ways. Just leave it at that.

Hair: Brown.

Muse: Adventure.
Wear: Striped knee-length dress, nothing special. Boots.
Pros: She has a knack for figuring out what kind of adventure my heroes should have.
Cons: She sometimes tries to find treasure in my back yard. Doesn't turn out so well.
Quotes: I can't believe I'm being outsmarted by these blasted rodents! (when she spent hours trying to capture my escaped gerbils)

Pros: She's too good natured to go and befriend some muses nearer her own age (erm, actually you could see that as a pro or a con)
Cons: She doesn't take anything seriously. Stupid optimist.
Quote: I like the sun. (to which I replied, 'You'd really better come in because Zerlinda's skewering your stuff while you're just standing here blinding yourself.')

Princess Oriel is being forced into an arranged marriage and a ball is being held to 'celebrate' the engagement. Ivo is a servant boy living with his stepfather and stepbrothers. Merle is a young faerie (not even out of the academy) who is not supposed to help any mortals yet. When the faerie academy finds out that Ivo can't go to the ball, what will they do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. So Merle decides to take things into her own hands. But she doesn't count on Ivo falling in love with Oriel, Oriel falling in love with Ivo, and herself falling in love with Ivo too! What will she do, when she's now banished from the faerie kingdom, and she can't survive without Ivo?

And it doesn't take her long to fall in love with him, although he admits freely that he is absolutely and purely evil. As she travels on, alone, he just keeps showing up. She figures out he can use magic, but it's more dangerous than she thinks- when she tries it, the consequences are great. Who is there for her to turn to? Syrus, of course. But she is blind in her love. She forgets one very important fact- Syrus is evil.
