Author has written 13 stories for Family, Historical, General, Life, Nature, General, Humor, Mystery, Humor, and Young Adult. Want to know about me? There's not much! My name is Savannah and my last name really isn't any of your business (lol). I'm in high school and I'm basically a young, aspiring writer. Though I have yet to write a novel (though I wish to do so eventually) I have written many short stories and poems. I have never been truly published unless you count a Middle School literary magazine, then yes, I have been. I read almost all genres (and often), but mainly stick to writing Sci-fi, Fantasy, Tragedies, or Poetry. Unless something just pops into my head. I am almost constantly on Fictionpress in my spare time, I find reading relaxing and am too cheap to go buy anymore books! Though it's no loss, because many writers on this site are way better than any published authors I've come across. When someone asks you what do you like to do and you say write and they say "are you any good at it?" how are you expected to respond? So after much mulling over, I've come up with my well thought out answer: maybe? Yes, I know. I'm just so witty and verbose by saying something simple in so many words. But here's the truth about my opinion on my writing (which I've been asked many times by teachers, classmates, and friends): I don't have much confidence in my poetry, so I lean toward humor in some cases and others overyly dramatic, but that's just me. Everything I write makes me smile, sad or not. So I wouldn't know if I'm a "good" writer. I've never been brought tears by my writing, nor laughed out loud. So I guess I'm just okay, unless you don't like what I write... then I'm bad? I'm a tad more confident in my prose, but not by much. Most of the time I feel the need to verbally explain my stories, then let people read them and tell me what they think. By this point, the readers are "biased" and I don't know if my writing makes sense or not. This is the whole point of putting my stuff on fictionpress. I want to share my works and see if they make sense for the most part. Well, that's about all! If you want to know more, which I don't really see why you would... but if for some reason you do : ) just e-mail me. I also appreciate ANY reviews, but I do ask that if you do have a "bad" review for my work, please keep it clean and actually have a reason. I can't stand it when someone says "You suck" or "It's bad" or something. I could understand "It' doesn't appeal to me, work on connecting with the reader" or "You should add this... or this... fix this...". You know? I don't care if you say it's bad or you just don't like it, but don't be stupid about it... please. Thank you! I hope you enjoy my "pieces". | |||||
