Author has written 14 stories for General, Nature, Sci-Fi, Romance, General, Fantasy, Horror, Life, and Supernatural. Name: You can call me Cookies, but my full name is Demented Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Double Chocolate-Chip Cookies. I know, kind of a mouthful (pun intended). That's why I just stick to Cookies. Bio - Demented Cookies began writing at a young age with a rusty typewriter and a finite number of pages which he had to completely white-out every so often and reuse because his parents were pressuring him to be a doctor and would not buy him paper for fear of encouraging this awful habit that could lead nowhere good. Much to the chagrin of his parents, he attended university with a double major in literature and philosophy, with a minor in popular culture (television emphasis), which only added fuel to the fire and resulted in his parents disowning him and writing him out of their wills. Despite these unsupportive harpies, he has lived a rich and full life since graduation and currently lives in a small log cabin in the woods of Washington with his two cats (Mr. Strange and Mr. Norrell), four dogs (Frodo, Samwise, Meriadoc, and Peregrin), and moose (Fluffy). He also enjoys completely fabricating online bios because why not. Favorite books - Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, House of the Spirits, Picnic on Paradise, The Dispossessed, The Left Hand of Darkness, Artemis Fowl (the entire series!!), the Earthsea series, His Dark Materials Favorite graphic novels/comic books - Runaways, The Amazing Spider-Man, Tintin, Asterix, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The Marvelous Land of Oz, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 8 and 9, Angel: After the Fall, Spike: After the Fall ... anything in the Buffyverse, really. They're all quite good. Favorite writers - Eoin Colfer, Ursula K. Le Guin, Philip Pullman, Joanna Russ, Susanna Clarke, God (by which I mean Joss Whedon) What I like to write - Fantasy and science fiction, mostly. Some poetry when I'm in the right mood. But I have a secret little fetish for writing pointless romance one-shots. Currently reading - Some Edgar Allen Poe short stories. I've been far to busy, unfortunately, to commit to any novels. Quote of the week!: "Remember to always be yourself ... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon | |||||||
