today on my way to school i saw something that scared me
a boy was on the side of the road bruised bleeding and cut.
his bike handles were turned backwards and he was crying.
there was a man standing behind him. i thought "oh no this boys been hit"
my mom told us to stay in the car. she grabbed some bandages and got out.
she started talking to him , asking what had happened.
he said he got in a fight with his dad so he was going to his friends house.
he was on his bike when a car almost hit him. being mad he yelled.
a man got out of the car and pushed him down and beat him mercilessly.
another man pulled up and the other drove away.
the second man helped the boy and called 911.
my mom started bandaging him and asked him if he knew her nephew.
he said they were friends. so she bandaged him up.
I thought something wasnt right with him.
somethng deep inside was sad.
she told him if something wasnt right at home he needed to tell the officer when he arrived.
he didnt want to call his house didnt want anyone to know.
so she got back in the car and drove away.
she called our cousin to ask about the boy, he said his father beats him.
my mom says she feels so baad that we left him. i was terrified.
the boy was smart and took the plates numbers,and told the officer.
when i saw this today it chilled me to the bone. it also showed me what i am: lucky.
