Author has written 3 stories for Young Adult, and Romance. Important: An epidemic known as "Plagiarism" is sweeping this and many other fiction-publishing websites. For those who are unfamiliar with the term: plagiarism is the copying of another's work and claiming it is your own. Not only does this violate basic copyright laws (see: the little 'C' in a circle next to your penname at the bottom of the page on this site), it is - to put it bluntly - rude. Due to this problem, amazing authors are taking down their stories/poems. To help protect your work, as well as the work of thousands of other writers visit one of the following: A petition to help convince FictionPress to remove the ability to copy-paste material from this site (allows you to take a role in making a change)- http://www.petitiononline.com/stopfp/petition.html The FPWatcher LiveJournal community (where to report any plagiarism you have found)- http://community.livejournal.com/fpwatchers/ "Imitation is the highest form of pissing me off. Quit stealing my content and violating my copyright." -Jen T. Verbumessor Some of you may be wondering what happened to A Thousand Miles from Happiness. I was extremely unhappy with where the story was going and what I had already had written. I plan on rewriting as soon as I finish my current project before reposting it. I don't know when this will be or how close to the original it will be. Sorry. For all of you who want to skip the boring stuff and just get to the info on my stories, go down to the little page-break-line-thingy. You should find everything you need there. As for the rest of you... How much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice! Anyways, I'm fifteen-years-old and live somewhere in the continental United States. My exact location is in a deadbeat town in the middle of nowhere (aka: Hickville, USA.) There are cows within walking distance of my house. I go to school with kids that think it's fun to drive pickup trucks through the woods at night. With the headlights off. While they're drunk. A typical weekend includes a school sporting event and hanging out at a Sheetz. Seriously. I actually know how to shoot a gun and ride a quad. My friends and I are more likely to go dive head-first into a lake than to go to a spa for the day. Not that a day at the spa wouldn't be nice... It's just not something you do around here. But, for the record, we don't walk around going "HOWDY! Look down yonder, ya'll! I think I sees me one a them Duke Boys. Yeehaw!" Just...no... We may be redneck, but we're dignified redneck gosh darn it! I love volleyball! It is pretty much the most amazing sport ever. I spent hours in my yard this summer to learn how to jump serve. It didn't work too well - I twisted my ankle and could have been out for the entire season...I wasn't thankfully, but the thought still scares me. I play defense or outside (libero or left-front, for those of you who actually play). My school's JV team was 13-3 this past season, and Varsity manged to go undefeated! I love my volleyball girlies!! They are some of the best friends/teammates I could ask for. I read constantly. My favorites include the Twilight saga, A Great and Terrible Beauty (and all the other books in the series), Gossip Girl, Morganville vampires series, Go Ask Alice, Thirteen Reasons Why, The Mortal Instrumants trilogy, a bunch of classics, and anything by Meg Cabot, Sarah Dessen, Shakespheare, Jane Austen, or Kate Brian. I'm a sap and really like those stupid teen romances where you end up crying half way through the book and can't stop smiling when the main characters kiss... It's rather pathetic actually. Hmmm...what else? Movies and music! Two of the most important things in my life... I'll listen to just about anything you give me. My playlist has everything from Debussy to Journey, from Taylor Swift to Linkin Park. I'm a big indie rock person... Oh, and I'm marrying Kenneth Nixon from Framing Hanley 'cause his voice is so sexy. Even if he does have a girlfriend... As for movies, I like the "teen" movies like Never Back Down, Twilight, Superbad. But I also love 80s movies (Pretty in Pink, anyone?). Cult classics like Rocky Horror Picture Show and the Princess Bride. Action movies like Batman are good. Indie movies like Little Miss Sunshine, Gretchen, that kind of stuff. Really, though, romantic movies are my weakness - some of my Top 10 are Titanic, The Notebook, and P.S. I Love You. I saw the Ugly Truth the day it came out...hilarious. Oh, horror movies are awesome, too. Especially the ones from my parents generation... They're all so pathetic that you end up laughing all through them. I like the remakes of them, as well (Rob Zombie's Halloween and such). So, if you guys made it through all of that, I suppose I should get to what I'm really here for... WRITING! I've loved to write ever since I was young. I have hundred upon hundreds of two-page-long stories from my munchkin days. I even have a FanFiction account if you wanna check it out...just click here. So...about my writing. I have won a couple of contests for my work, and I really want to get published some day. I can't write anything short (see above), and I'm really bad about updating. Sad but true. I try to tie humor or sarcasm or irony into everything I right, even the sad stuff. My Stories A Princeless Cinderella: I wrote this for a friend who was going through a hard time. She was really upset and didn't think that anyone understood what she was going through. This was my way of proving that, though I've never been in her situation, I did get it. It's a bit depressing, and I swear a couple of times...hence the T rating. Making the Most Out of Life: Not so long ago, a couple kids I went to school with died in a drunk driving accident. This is the result of my feelings about that particular event. Warning: rather depressing. Summer Lovin': This was written in the middle of the summer last year, at around 2a.m., when I was way bored. Abby hates the boy she loves. Then, when she gets in a huge fight with him on the last day of school, she thinks she blew it for good. The first half of her summer pretty much sucks as a result. Well, that is until her mother's friend forces her in to a blind date of sorts. in case you cant tell, im a hopeless romantic;;; its just, im not exactly hopeless because i believe it could all be true. "Don't dream it; be it." ~Rocky Horror Picture Show! Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia. ~E.L. Doctorow | |||||||||
