Author has written 10 stories for Historical, Romance, General, and Friendship.

My name is Ruby, I'm 17 and I'm from London, England.

I love reading and, possibly, love writing even more.

I love getting reviews, bad or good, as long as they help me improve. But I am terrible at giving them.

Favourite book and authors: Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, Wuthering Heights, The Ladies of Grace Adeiu, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Blood Red Snow White, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Thirteenth Tale, and Angels and Demons. I've also started reading Elizabeth Gaskell, Neil Gaiman, Charlotte Bingham. I just finished The Uncommon Reader. And, of course, who doesn't love Harry Potter?

Favourite films: Withnail and I, Life is Beautiful, Sabrina, In a Lonely Place, One Fine Day, Stardust, Atonement, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Breakfast Club, Like Water for Chocolate, Grosse Point Blanc, Stage Beauty, The 'Burbs, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pay It Forward, Vanity Fair, High Fidelity, The Commitments, The History Boys...

05/06/08 - I have now finished my exams. Which means I can get back to writing...and reading, at long last.

11/06/08 - Gabby, if you read this, thanks for all the reviews! About the last one...could you elaborate a little?

11/07/08 - I entered a competition online and was one of the 200 runners up. This is the address of the piece I entered. Wrote very quickly the day I discovered the competition. It's called 'The Little Things'. http://features.elleuk.com/nina-ricci-fantasy/?p=531

15/07/08 - I've just posted 'News for My Lady'. The running boy jumped into my thoughts yesterday, and then into the house, and I had to write it up, even though it has nothing to do with anything. Maybe one day it will branch off and make a story, but for now its just another of my aimless oneshots.
