The writing career that I intended to pursue has been put on hold.

Lately, I've been thinking about coming back to Fictionpress. But then I remember how stressful it was being here haha. I just don't know if I can handle the negative energy that sometimes got let in with the flow of amazing and very much appreciated support that I got. And I'm not talking about negative stuff about my writing; I mean the personal attacks on me. Boo. So that's where I'm at now. On the fence about coming back. Considering other options, like Livejournal or Wordpress or some other place where I can filter who sees my shit. You know. Maybe one day I'll stop being so sensitive, but probably not haha.

I took my break from Fictionpress and I miss it.

Here's the story. I was going to go away and focus on getting my work published. I am still focusing on getting my work published. I won't be updating Just Out of Reach or Power and Finesse, because those are on my list of material I want to publish eventually, in one form or another. Perhaps that will bring some solace to the broken hearts those stories have left in their wake haha. But in all seriousness, I'm sorry that I have disappointed some of you. It was poor timing on my part, but in my own defense, when I started writing them, I never had any intention of being published. Those plans clearly changed, though. And I am truly grateful to all of those who supported me, and I hope that I will continue to have your support.

Although I won't be continuing Just Out of Reach or Power and Finesse, I have decided that I'm actually going to continue updating Rain on the River here on the site, because it will never be published. It's too stupid for publishing haha. I'm not going to be updating it as promptly and urgently as I used to update, simply because I will keep my focus on the things I want to be published. It's going to be my fun little smut break from the stress and drama and seriousness of my main projects. Something like...a warm-up or cool-down write haha. Like stretching out muscles before and after a long run, if that makes any sense. I want to enjoy myself. Not that I don't enjoy writing my other stuff. But trying to write something good enough to make a little money off is pretty damn stressful haha.

I'm taking a break from Fictionpress for a while. Actually, I'm taking a break from most internet things for a while haha.
