About xwordslingerx:
Hi. I’m the voice in wordslinger’s mind.
First off, I’d like to say that it’s an absolute pleasure to be here, presenting this little profile for all of you bored people out there that actually go to read her profile. Thank you.
I have to say, wordslinger is a very... interesting person. Her username comes from the works of Stephen King, specifically the Dark Tower series, where he refers to himself as a wordslinger, like a gunslinger, but with words. The x’s are for show.
She prefers not to disclose specifics about location/age, but will tell you that she is definitely American and definitely not legal to drink yet (unfortunately for the both of us). Along with writing, she enjoys reading (of course), computer programming, band, music in general (it’s definitely her passion in life), among a few other things (including playing (and usually losing) Egyptian Ratscrew with her younger sister).
Her works at this point aren’t too great in number and content, but hopes to expand this. The Stain on the Window was her NaNoWriMo novel, so it’s bound to be bad. Attack of the Bunnies and Frogs, Bogs and Alexander are two short, humor stories, basically meant for children. Fleeing the Night is her main focus right now, and she’s quite happy with it so far... even though only one chapter is up (she admits to having slight problems writing chapter two). And then there’s Mark and Sadie. As I understand it, this was a random thing that came to her mind, so she wrote it down. She doesn’t know where it will go.
So, I think that covers just about everything. She doesn’t mind getting messages and whatnot from people, so feel free to drop her a line sometime.
Sincerely,
The Voice

Quotes:
Music is love in search of a word. ~ Sidney Lanier
"Space," it says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindboggingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space." ~ Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand... there is no going back. There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold. ~ Frodo Baggins
Last Words:
Maybe they only had one rocket... ~ Lawrence Beeter, WWII British soldier
Don't worry, relax! ~ Rajiv Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister, to his security staff minutes before being killed by a suicide bomber attack.
The most useful saying on earth: Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.
Works:
--Novel-- The Stain on the Window: Aidan is committed to a mental asylum, despite the fact that he IS mentally stable... and finds love in the most unlikely place. Probably will never get finished, being: NaNoWriMo Novel 2007, Romance/Young Adult (possibly)
--Short Story, Complete-- Frogs, Bogs, and Alexander: Children's story about Alexander, a little boy who goes into the bog on a dare... you can guess what he finds there. But it's not what you expect. Humor/Children's/Adventure
--Short Story, Complete-- Attack of the Bunnies: Not published on here yet, but I will get it up eventually. Another children's story about E.P.B.F... not very original, I know. But it was hilarious at the time. Humor/Children's/Adventure
--Novel, WIP-- Fleeing the Night: This is the story of Layla Montgomery, a princess who wishes she was anything but. She runs away and is then kidnapped by mercenaries. Lots of stuff to follow. A romance/adventure/drama/fantasy story. (Yes, there are fantasy elements in this, including elves, dwarves, and a mysterious race that Layla just happens to come upon)
--Novel/Short Story/Unknown, WIP-- Mark And Sadie (Temporary Title): This is basically a random idea that came to me. So far just the introducing of Mark and Sadie. We'll just have to wait and see where it goes.
