About Me:

I'm full Japanese.

16 years old.

Fluent speaker.

Just call me Kanna or Kanna-chan.

I really seriously am a soda magnet. (send me a message if you want some examples)

I love writing (duh).

My friend wanted me to post some of my stories, so... here I am!

I'll write in script form sometimes...

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my stories!

News as of 3/20/2008:

The Princes and the Babysitter: Chapter 8 is finally done and up! Starting the next chapter, I'm going to start writing normally and not in script form. If I have time, I'll go back and redo chapters 1-8.

Hoshi no Namida: chapter 2 is up! I'll get chapter 3 up as soon as I'm done with it! (This one is the one that I'm focusing the least on... I would like to finish it, but the other ones are definitely more interesting for me right now...) I have decided to put this story on hiatus until further notice!

Operation: Matchmaker: Chapter 4 is finally done! And Kyo has been introduced! He was named by my wonderful friend Tally, by the way. Quite literally. I turned to her during class (when I was finishing this chapter) and I whispered to her, "Hey! Tally! Give me a Japanese boy name!" And this was the name she gave me. :D I haven't even started chapter 5 yet, so expect that to take a while... as I have to alternate between The Princes and the Babysitter and this story... (I believe that this one is my main focus right now...)

Story Summaries

Done: none... yet.

On Hiatus:

1. Hoshi no Namida- Hikaru is a 16 year old girl living in an orphanage. She begins to paint a scene from a dream she has, and ends up getting transported to the land from her dreams/painting. Except... it's a little different than she imagined it to be. The land's not as beautiful and the prince she imagined isn't as nice as she thought he was. And as it turns out, she's been transported to the land... in the middle of a war. And she's the only one who can stop it.

In Progress:

1. The Princes and the Babysitter- Tomo is a regular high school student... now the babysitter of four high school boys... and in charge of fixing some of their bad habits... And these bad habits are not going to be easy to fix.

2. Operation: Matchmaker (told you the name would change...): Aya is a normal 17 year old girl. Well... except for the fact that she can see the red strings tying people together. After years of seeing the wrong people get together, Aya has decided she's had enough. She's going to help the right people get together! With the help of her best friend, Mitsuki, she's doing all right... And then a new guy comes to school. And his red string is kind of bothering Aya. It's strange... DIFFERENT from all the others. Why?

Planned/KindaWorkingOnButNotUpOnFictionPressYet:

1. Fish Kiss- Akemi is a studious 16 year old high school student with a bit of a grades complex. One day, she and her best friend, Kaede go into an antique store and find a mysterious necklace. Now, Akemi turns into a mermaid whenever she touches to the water. And finds out that the necklace has chosen her to find the ocean's princess (who has lost all memories as a mermaid and is living on land) so that the evil cousin merman won't be able to take over. With her only companions being Kaede on land and a little fish (who is determined to get her to kiss him...ew) underwater, how is she supposed to keep her grades up, get the guy she wants, AND find the mermaid princess?

2. The Century Genie- There's three types of genies in this world: The "Regular" Genies (the older, wiser ones that you always hear about... the ones that will give you aaaaaaaaaaall the time in the world to wish all three of your wishes... but they'll always try to twist your wish), The "Time-Limit" Genies (the younger, more impatient ones, they give you a month to wish for all FIVE of your wishes, and won't try to twist your wish or anything), and then the rarest type of genie, The "Century" Genies. They (as their name implies) only come around once a century. And they'll grant you a thousand wishes. And you have a year to make all of them. Meet Rin, a 16-year-old high school girl who just can't get the guy she likes (captain of the soccer team) to notice her. Well... not that she's really been trying. Now meet Hideki, the newest Century Genie... who has been found by Rin. Now, it gets complicated. Rin can finally get Satoshi (soccer captain) to notice her, but Hideki is starting to fall in love with Rin (which is totally against the rules). Not confusing yet? Well try this. Hideki totally hates Satoshi, but Rin doesn't realize that. And now Rin's teacher is trying to get Rin to stay away from Satoshi, and seems to know about Hideki. And now Satoshi seems to hate Hideki (who has taken on a human form to help Rin during school) and the two are always fighting... but only one of them is fighting for Rin. And now it's starting to seem as though Satoshi is not what he seems to be...

3. The Time Limit Genie- This is actually a one-shot I came up with that was based off of The Century Genie. It's done (in script form) so I'm working on switching it to story format. Kanako tries to confess to the guy she's liked for two years. But she's ignored yet again when the guy notices that her best friend, Keiko is also there. This isn't new. It's not like Keiko tries to steal guys away from Kanako. It just happens. And Kanako doesn't blame her. Or the guys. But then she meets Takumi, the Time Limit Genie. And while at first, they hate each other, Kanako slowly finds herself starting to like him. Why does he have to leave in a month?

4. The Richest Poor Girl (title might change)- Ayumi is a rich young lady who comes from a very rich family. So why is she starving herself for three days... just so that she can eat out for dinner with her (equally) rich friends? Uh. Correction. Ayumi's family is rich. She is not. But she has to pretend she is... at least until she can graduate from her university and get a good job. So as of now, to keep her family and friends off her back, she splurges on expensive items (shoes, jewelry, clothes, bags, etc) to look like she's rich, while struggling to buy things that are actually important. When a new guy in town finds out she's not so rich... can he teach her that the way she's living isn't the best lifestyle to follow?

5. Illusion- Elizabeth is one of the more popular people at her boarding school. She's been having a great time at high school (although her boyfriend dumped her for another girl and her roommate is... a bit of a freak). Now, she's been arrested for murdering her ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend. But she didn't do it! She's been framed! Because her roommate told her herself... that SHE was the one who did it, not Elizabeth. But when Elizabeth tries to tell others of that fact, she is shocked to hear that her roommate doesn't exist. She never had a roommate. Could Elizabeth really be the murderer?

Previews:

No preview for this time... but next chapter summaries... I can do!

The Princes and the Babysitter: In the next chapter, the storyline takes place during Valentine's Day! Everyone's different reactions to this day will definitely be funny to read about (although I'm sure you can guess what Kenta's reaction will be like...), although the main focus for this chapter will be Kazu-kun and his first step towards being... not so influenced by the whole inferiority complex thing. Also, I haven't really stressed on this particular point before, but I will be revealing the reason why Kazu hides his eye behind his hair!

Operation: Matchmaker: Well. Now that you know that Kyo-kun has a strange string... what does it mean! Also, Aya and Mitsuki get started on an all new operation... dealing with childhood friends. But what's this! A surprise guest (well... maybe for some of you...)! And... well... a certain someone finds out that there is, in fact, no psychic behind "Angel's Psychic Matchmaking Services".

Facts:

(I'm basically just randomly putting down things that come to mind in this section... just letting you know. :D)

The Princes and the Babysitter:
- Akira is kind of sort of based off of one of my younger brothers (I have two). Not his looks or anything, but his temper/personality. Some of his future lines actually came from my brother!
- Here's a coincidence for you: I named the main character Tomo-chan... and then there's Hana-chan, right? Well, one of my mom's friend's names is Tomoko-san (well... that's what she is to ME...), and my mom and of course, Tomoko-san's friends call her "Tomo-chan". She's currently pregnant with her second child, a baby girl, by the way, and for some reason, her husband and her son are calling the baby "Hana-chan" even if Tomoko-san has yet to figure out a name! How weird is that...?
- My tutor says that the way Kenta is described in the story is kind of like him (my tutor has long hair too... although, rather than having it in a ponytail like Kenta, he has it in a braid...), and apparently, when he was reading through the list of likes and dislikes... he found that he could relate to a lot of them! He was freaked out... Don't worry though. My tutor is NOTHING like Kenta when it comes to the whole... hitting on girls thing. Yeah. No. That's be freaky.
Operation:Matchmaker:
- I actually thought of this storyline about a year and a half ago. It took me about 3 or 4 tries of rewriting the ENTIRE FIRST CHAPTER before I finally came up with a version I liked... the one that's up right now! In the first few drafts, the "Kyo" character was supposed to transfer in during the first chapter. I decided against it because it seemed a bit rushed...
- I have totally and completely ALWAYS been in love with the whole "red string" story. That's basically what caused me to write this story.
- Kyo was named completely and totally last minute and was a name that was chosen by one of my best friends: Tally.
- At first, I was considering having Kyo being a totally outgoing guy and have him obviously be in love with Aya and be all silly all the time and such... but for some reason, I decided to make him the "sarcastic-rebel-hot type"... I think because then it'd be funny for both Aya AND Kyo to be all "antisocial characters". :)
Fish Kiss:
- I've always loved mermaids. :) This was kind of based off of a mermaid based dream I had. Although the dream was waaaaay weirder than the actual story.
- I've tried quite a few times to write this story, because I love the storyline. I haven't gotten it quite right yet.
The Century Genie:
This was one of those stories that just... came to me. Seriously. I sat down to write something else, and I ended up writing a summary for this storyline. Interesting how that happens, isn't it?
- The spin-off story, "The Time Limit Genie", was something I wrote for a project between me and my friends. The reason why it's in script form currently is because they were going to draw it and make it into a short manga... But now, for FictionPress, I've decided to make it into an actual story!
The Richest Poor Girl:
- Short one here. This is the first story I've written where the main character and her friends AREN'T my age. Or at least around my age.
Illusion:
- Based off of a nightmare I had, actually. Fun, huh? I actually have another one I might write about... based off of a different nightmare.
